Post BitCoin Miner
I know the majority of BitCoin transactions are used for some shady stuff, but BitCoins seem to be making it into the news more and more often in the last few months. Has anybody actually taken the dive and gotten into it?

I read an article on Wired this morning about a BitCoin miner?

Seems pretty interesting...

My buddy is getting into it. I hate doing transactions with pieces of paper that represent things I don't actually have, so electronic money is even more sketchy in my book. My buddy thinks that they'll only gain in value, but I think one day it'll all just vanish.

They are getting super popular but it isn't cost efficient to run it on your home comp. They make comps specifically for mining that aren't that expensive but they wont ship for like 6 months. It would have been nice to get into them a year ago when they first came out.

lol @ ESEA for putting bitcoin mining routines in their anti-cheat software and frying a bunch of people's video card.

I thing it was ESEA anyway, one of those MLG communities.

bitcoin suffers from massive bubble pops... it doesn't look like it's going anywhere though, so if you're into it you should be alright just be prepared for a roller coaster of a ride
