OK, so we just finished our first weekend on the new servers. How about some feedback?

For the admins, I know "AMX Mod X" is a huge change from Adminmod. But.... AMXX is like the new hot fresh thing, and we couldn't seem to get the server working quickly enough with adminmod. What started out as a rush decision to get something working might turn into our new standard admin thingy. Personally, I'm gonna bind some of my unused numberpad keys to the amx menus to try and get used to it.

Overall, AMXX has more features than Adminmod ever had, it's just a real bitch to have to re-learn every friggin command all over again.

Aside from that, though.... I'm very pleased. We still have some tweaks to take care of like the map cycle and whether or not we'll allow votes for the next map pr just run the cycle, disabling the voice "Open Fire Gordon!" thingy, etc.

Pings were nice and juicy, and it seems that people found their way to the server pretty easily. We filled it up and had people waiting in line.

Once again, props to Funservers for the hot new shit, and props to Genocide from bringing the Funmaps Server to life.

This thread is for the n00b community to toss out thoughts, commentary, and suggestions for how things are/how they should be.

This shizzle pwns... Definitely seeing more players on due to better performance or less lag. Even voices sound a bit clearer. I also like the whole idea of new and improved. Kinda feels like we are buying a hot new sports car .:giggle:giggle:. and rejuvenating our lust for n00bness... :P

My avg ping went from 100 to 30 with the change....on top of that I'm seeing a lot of new players in these new servers already...about midnight Sunday we had over 20 ppl playing...good shit....the AMXmod....well...I'm still partial to adminmod but I guess I can learn the new wave...map voting...only minor problem I'm seeing so far...we seem to be playing the same 5 maps over and over and over...kinda pisses you off when you've only been playing for 4 maps and end up playing the same map 3 times....I think it's gotta go...all in all....very nice....on top of that....Gotta give props to Funservers...holy shit yeah!!

i agree with greenman on this one. funservers kicks ass. the whole map thing pissed me off too but what can ya do.

i did notice that people were still complaining about lag though and im not going to point any fingers*cough* cisco *cough* ...but im just wondering how the hell you could complain about lag now after what we were going through with the other servers....

I really like the Funservers much better. I went from a good 40-60 ping, to a great 14-19 Ping. I still get small lag, but hey that's the internet, it's not perfect! I did however have a quadruple nade kill last week on dust2, and yesterday on the Funmap server I had a triple awp kill. WOOOOOHOOOOO, a first for me on both. As soon as I can get some dough together I will be able to help out a littlle on the donation end. I don't mind sending in a little something, when I see first hand the amount of quality work being done by the higher ups. Keep up the great work everyone, much appreciated! :D

i like the new server. amx mod is gonna take some getting used to. i DONT like the fact that you cant llama someone (or cheat and give someone godmode or noclip)...but we'll just have to get used to it. over all...i think its going to be great. thanks to funservers. didnt get a chance to say it before...but thank you. pings arent too bad...mine went UP a little bit, actually...from low 30s to mid 50's now...but that's not such a bad change there...i can still be an asshole! so you KNOW i'm good.

I don't know if it was mentioned but when i played in the iceworld sserver last night the autobalance wasn't working and we had n00bs stacking teams 3 vs 10 ect. I'm not sure if you already configured it to to autobalance but just making you all aware.

Add statsme + tk punish, and execleint again, maybe some admin immunity too, I ♥ the servers non lag @ 32 players, smooth as a babys bottom. Yay for funservers, go go geno !

Yeah, for the fun commands that we all miss, I can probably fund a plugin that makes it work. I thought I had seen plugins that gave you the same command format as adminmod (admin_tsay admin_kick, caps insensitive). I might do a little searching this weekend.

I miss it too...I love the servers. Even tho my ping is higher now somehow. But love how the lag is a LOT better now. But I do miss adminmod. I always try to kick someone and do "admin" then delete it and type "amx" so much work omg....lol.
