 Conceal carry gun advice
Ok so too many people are going nuts in public shooting people so i figured id get a little pistol so if im in a similar situation i can at-least try to throw a bullet there way.Im looking at 3 guns right now a Kel-Tec P-3AT a ruger lcp 380 and a Taurus PT738 TCP .380 ACP.All in 380 which should have a little stopping power with a hot load and will slip in my back pocket.Maybe some of you are familiar with these pistols and can give some advice on which one of these or a similar one in size and price range to go with.Ive held the kel-tec and Taurus and both seem to be what im looking for but i just don't want to make the wrong choice.Im not doing a holster so the kel-tec with the clip is looking good right now.Give me some feedback gun people.

 Re: Conceal carry gun advice
If you're going to get an LCP you might as well get an LC9. 9mm is 1/2 close to the price of 380 and has more stopping power... plus, it's damn near the same size, just the case is 2mm longer.

 Re: Conceal carry gun advice
Looked at a lc9 today,no way that's fitting in my pocket.Ammo for a 9 would much easier to get and the extra stopping power would be great but its just way to big.Unless someone says there's a legitimate fault with the Kel-tec or the taurus ill most likely go that way.All three i listed are prone to jams with weak loads but still anything in a bad situation is better than nothing. But like i said if there's a way better gun in that size and price range let me know.Or if one of these has a major flaw ive overlooked in my little bit of research let me know. The biggest reason im leaning Kel-tec is the clip and that out of the three its the only one you can completely break down to clean which is a huge deal for me since it wont be in a holster and will be prone to getting dirty.

Bigger the target = less chance of missing. Which is the point if you have to use your weapon for self defense. If your worried about jamming Super, why don't you look at small revolvers? Less ammo capacity but also less jamming.

Or, if you're worried about stopping power, get the 45-70 derringer. LAWL

 Re: Conceal carry gun advice
You should get a ruger p95. It is a 9mm and small enough to fit in your pocket. Really good accuracy and a good gun.

I have a Glock 21SF, it's a .45 and shoots like a champ, light as F*CK, easy to handle. Some people are fans of having a hammer to pull back so they can hear that C*CK sound. I'm really not, which is why I went with the Glock.

 Re: Conceal carry gun advice
Super, since you have a strict requirement when it comes to the gun itself (the need for it to stay in your back pocket), I would honestly say that your two best bets are the P-3AT and the LCP. They're both tiny. I carry the Sig Sauer P238 but its just too heavy to be comfortable in your back pocket, even though its the same size as the LCP. I hear nothing but good things from both of those choices.
I would also recommend against pocket carry without at least a pocket carry holster. The LCP and the P-3AT are both DAO and both lack safeties, which means that there is a chance that you could put pressure on the trigger somehow (something else in your pocket, awkward angle, etc.) and discharge the gun into your ass or into someone else. That would be bad.

 Re: Conceal carry gun advice
carry the largest gun that you can comfortably conceal, and choose the largest caliber that you can consistently and quickly hit the target with.
id suggest at trying out any .380 acp semiauto (SIG SAUER P238)

 Re: Conceal carry gun advice
Have you thought about a small J frame chambered in .38 or .357? Mine is just a tad larger than an LCP and fits directly into my front right pocket and doesn't print much at all. You won't have to worry about reliability either. Best part is she weighs less than a pound loaded with .357's. These are a bit more pricey than the LCP but you can get the heavier J frames for about $400 chambered in .38.
