Not bad, but not great. I was glad to have seen this for free. The original was way better but I do like how they did not completely copy the first one, they changed a lot in this one especially the ending is different then the original. Connor Cruise sucked in it, he looked lost for most the film (kind of like his dad).

I thought it was F*CKING awesome! However, it holds a special place as I watched most of it being filmed from my office. I also have one of the big posters from the movie that was ripped down during a scene but it didn't make the final cut. In the scene that Josh Peck and the chick run through the black ladies shop and out to the alley I had strategically parked my truck near the alley hoping they would get it in the film, it wasn't. They filmed in the summer and had a crew come in and pull every leaf off all the trees in that area so it looked like fall, pretty crazy.

Also, in the theater while waiting for the movie to start about 2-3 Michigan militia guys walked in. They noticed my "Don't Tread On Me" hat and gave me a nod. Felt a bit safer knowing they were sitting with us. After the movie was over I had the urge to stockpile ammo. I also started shaking because I was so pissed off when that first soldier hit our soil. My wife looked over and told me to calm down.

Are you guys sure we saw the same film? Cause the one I saw kind of sucked, not totally but not worth the full price of admission.

I think you have to be an American & a fan of the original to fully enjoy it. There is something about Americans rising up to fight for their freedom, its kind of in our blood. I could of cared less about anything other than them killing those slope eyes.

I have not seen it but I can't wait to!

I've seen the original with good olde patrick swayze and charlie sheen. It wasn't bad considering the age of it (1984) but, after I saw it, I couldn't help but thinking, "This would be so much cooler if it was made with modern special effects and just more modern in general!"

They read my mind!

I hope it's bad ass.

I also hope that lots of people see it.

Although it's obviously very unlikely, people need to know that something like Red Dawn, getting invaded by another country, IS PLAUSIBLE! And however unlikely, it could indeed happen. It probably wouldn't be Russia, but China is more likely because of how huge of a population they have, over a BILLION people. We have only 300 million. Although, we buy WAY TOO MUCH SHIT from China, so they aren't going to mess up that gravy train they got going on us.

But, just like there is an insurgency in Iraq or Afghanistan, there would be one here too. Invading the US is also stupid because WE HAVE GUNS HERE!

The question is, would you fight? Or would you give up, and surrender?

If you are an able bodied male, you would be considered a combatant and shot on sight. If you are a woman, too young, too old, etc, you'd probably be sent to a forced labor or concentration camp.

So, if you're a able bodied man, like many of us (yes even if you're fat) you might as well put up a resistance and fight, because they'd just shoot you on sight anyway, most likely.

I thought the movie was great, had not seen the first one but plan to. Only complaint I have is that they wrote out the word WOLVERINES with spray paint on walls, I would have picked something smaller tbh or drew a quick wolverine.
