I can understand why people like CS:GO but personally for some reason the game isn't for me, I won't lie i sat around waiting for it to come out excited as hell but idk. Anyone's opinion on CS:GO? would you play it over source or 1.6?

When you set cl_pushscale to a negative value anything you shoot gets sucked into you. so if you put cl_pushscale -1 then you shoot a barrel and it tips towards you instead of away from you. set it to an absurd number like -1000 or more and it flys at you at 100000000 mph and kills on you on contact. Anything in the source engine that is interactable can be sucked into you like bodys, phones, cans, cones, computers etc etc etc. Its quite F*CKING funny to watch sometimes and its my favorite command.

I was all ready to not like GO, but actually, turns out I like it a lot, not that it's perfect by any means. There's plenty that needs fixing.

Since I've been playing CS since the betas in 1999, I can say it's definitely easy to get used to what you're playing. I mean back in the day, we would bitch when it went from Beta 5 to 6, or whatever update. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like source, but I did. Now, I wasn't sure I was going to like GO, but I do. Another step in the road it seems. I think overall, the most important thing being that it "feels" like CS and I would say GO definitely does. But, like anything else, it takes some getting used to. If Valve gave a shit about my opinion, which they obviously don't, I would have told them to wait until they release Half-Life 3, with a whole new engine, before they released an updated version of Counter-Strike. It's really a whole new game engine that should make the difference, not just a tweaking of source. But, it doesn't look like Valve is letting go of Source and moving on to better things anytime soon. If you pay attention, it looks like some things are straight up "copy/pasted" from CS:S to GO. Take a look at the stack of reams of paper in the "paper room" in cs_office, then look at them in cs_office in GO.

1st of all, right now NO ONE has admin on the CS:GO server, because there is no admin mod running (at least to the best of my knowledge). Gman has already said that the same people who have admin in CS:S will have it in CS:GO. I don't know his intentions for expanding on that list, because in the past a larger admin list crashed the server. So for now, be patient until an admin mod is up and running on the GO server, then maybe Gman will have time to weed out admins who are inactive.

Never mind Gman ive figured it out that i had to edit a file called pak01_dir.vpk with notepad ++ and change a few lines its really weird but it works on the server so HELL YEAH!

be careful with custom skins. we've banned people before for using certain skins to gain an unfair advantage. don't be one of those kids.

sv_pure is on (and should be) so custom skins aren't able to be used. I personally wouldn't turn sv_pure off or people will start using blue and red skins without you even knowing about it.
