Post Triple Monitor Setup Question?
Just a question for you guys who run a triple monitor setup. Is it better to have all three monitors the same size or can the middle one be slightly larger? Does it matter? I am in the middle of planning my basement reno and part of the reno includes a custom built computer area. I wanted to go with a triple monitor setup but I also wanted my main monitor to be atleast a 27". To save some money I was just going to use my 22" as one of the side monitors but was curious if having all three the same size will make any difference. Just waiting on my inheritance and the house will go under some serious changes, new roof, bathroom and basement.

I would say for consistency you will want 3 of the same monitors for Gaming! Or at least 3 monitors with the same resolution settings. So if your primary is 27 inches but you have a second 22 inch lying around YES you can use the 22 inch but you might want to change the resolution of the 27 inch to match the 22 inch for a consistent feel in games. If its just going to be a second monitor that is not involved with games you can just use it as is.

Post Re: Triple Monitor Setup Question?
Rule of thumb for best quality is to run all the same size and model of monitors. This helps in the aspect ratio, resolution, and color department.

Can you run it the way you are describing? I am quite certain you can. Will you get what a surround setup should be? No not really you are setting youself up to color differences between all three and very wierd resolution which in the end game can make a visuals of the games kinda wonky.

And now that i reread your paragraph and find that your using three monitors of different sizes i highly suggest you don't. It'll hard work.

Well now again this is all based if you are gaming surroundly (with your 6 series card. you best take advantage). If you're going to just game on one and just use the others as perihperals than sure it'll work....it'll look ghetto though
