 Netflix VS Hulu+
Anyone have one of these? As most of you know, im in college so I need a streaming library program like one of these. Im deciding between the two.. Im not looking at Netflix mailing movies at all. I won't use it. Im deciding based on streaming library and your overall feedback. Both, based on my knowledge, are $7.99. I'm looking to watch TV shows and an occasional Movie, but Tv shows being a larger portion. If you have one of these please leave your pros and cons!
Thanks :)

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
ive had both, i would say get Netflix over Hulu.
Netflix has full series and seasons, where as most of Hulu is the last few most recent episodes.

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
If you're determined to have fresh content and mainly tv series....you go Hulu+
If you want a streaming service that has luke warm series but a shitton of gems film wise....you choose netflix
Personally I had Netflix through out my last year of college and I appreciated it. Most of the people on my floor had it and usually had three things they were watching at a time (and that was just instant stuff). Right now I have about 87 things that I am going to watch on my instant queue and about 100 dvds in my dvd queue. Personally I would find a way to get the extra cash to get a one at a time dvd thing going with the instant stream.

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
For the most TV series get Hulu+
I have netflix and all they have are older series and after about 2-3 weeks you will see everything good in their library. Even for movies they dont have that good of a selection. The only reason I continue to use netflix is because my parents bout it and i can log in from time to time and see something.
Also Amazon prime has a service and I believe you can get amazon prime student for a year free, or it is severly reduced something like $40 for a year and that gets you 2day shipping on everything and the streaming.

I have had Netflix for a long time. If you're into the newer shows, you'll want the DVD. Or else you wait for a long time for it to become available on your Instant Queue. Plus, if you want to see a movie that just came out of the theater, it's available on DVD as soon as it comes out on DVD(I mean the DVD you can purchase at the store.) The Instant Queue is better for movies, but it has a lot of good shows as well.

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
i have both. netflix rarely has new movies to stream, at least not any that are very good. if you are into older movies, it has a decent selection. the TV series it carries is pretty good as well. personally, i use Hulu+ more, because i am not a huge movie guy, and Hulu carries most major network tv shows and puts them up within 24 hours of their air date. the only thing that bothers me a little is some programs can only be watched from a PC and not through xbox or ps3.

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
My buddy has Netflix and all the movies I've seen are like knock-offs of the originals like "Teenage Mutant Ninja Cavemen" and other dumb shit like that.

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
Theres a lot of dumb shitty movies on netflix, like prrobably 50% of the movies on there are shitty B list movies with bad production.
That being said, the other 50% is pretty nice, and considering I like watching family guy and futuruma it works pretty well for me. I use the mailing service whenever I wanna see a relatively new movie, and even though I've seen every good movie on netflix 3 times I still sometimes enjoy them and they occasionally have good movies in instant queue for a few weeks. (Like captain america!)

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
I current have both but will be canceling hulu+. Actually already canceled it but they gave me a free month to re-evaluate my decision. I've had netflix for a few years and like it so I might be a bit biased.
They don't have the best movies but they are better than Hulu+ imo and if I'm bored I can always find something to watch.

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
Also think about Amazon Prime. They just sealed a deal where they'll have tons more movies than Netflix. http://mashable.com/2012/09/04/amazon-p ... es-netfli/ They're only $79/year too. Pay it all at once and you don't have that pesky little charge hit your bank every month. That's $6.58/month, if you care...The other reason I like Prime is because they have rentals too, cheap and quick. http://www.amazon.com/ref=gno_prmlogo

 Re: Netflix VS Hulu+
Man I feel dumb that I totally forgot about it. They just released an app for the PS3 and it's F*CKING beautiful. Kind of hard to get it so it's purely just Prime stuff the way they organize the seasons but it's all good.

Yes this ^ you can get prime for even less than 79 a year if you sign up with your school email.

Ya if you have a school e-mail account it's $39/year for the first 4 years and then it goes to $79/year. http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info

I (my mom) have (has) Amazon Prime, and it's sweet. They have a lot of movies, but the shows are about the same as Hulu.
