Just got into a car wreck this past friday... i am in teh market for a new car trying to not spend any more then 10k.. and no the wreck wasnt my fault i tboned some guy who ran a redlight. i would perfer a fast car (stick and no more then 6 cyclinder) or somethign along teh lines of a jeep wrangler ... any suggestions?/

Somebody hasn't been keeping up with the times! This was true a few short years ago. Now, however, we're reaching MPGs closer to the other guys. Check some out, you might be amazed. For example, the Chevy Cruze gets around 42 MPG, not too shabby for a $17k vehicle. I use to own a Chevy Malibu and we got *maybe 19 MPG, the newer ones get 37 MPG.

Ford and Dodge have done the same thing. My Durango that I have, I'm lucky if that bitch gets 15 MPG, the newer ones get 23 MPG, though that's not a huge improvement, every penny helps with gas as high as it is now.

Truth. The fusion is a great car and is super reliable. I have a 4 cyl sel and i love it. You should be able to find a 2009-10 near your price range and they are great cars. The 6 cyl has plenty of power for a day to day driver.

Back to the topic (which is car UNDER 10k) - my recommendations are:

95% of our so called problems are sync and nav related and are easly fixed with a free software patch and ford just realy got into the nav ,sync , and high end audio scene so its normal to have programing issues,and we were on topic.

The quality of most cars built now is pretty similar. But you are looking for one under 10k. That isnt going to get you a new car so you are going to have to go with a slightly older used car. That puts you in the import area for quality and gas mileage. F*CK all these people that are like "buy american". You are buying it used so you are stimulating our economy cause it is going to an american that already bought it and drove it for awhile. So get whatever you like the best. Do some research on what you want and price check them. Do you want good gas mileage, 2 door, 4 door, sports car, wagon, truck, suv, etc.? Once you figure out what type you want, then look for stuff that fits those requirements.

My recommendations are:

2004 Subaru WRX
Nissan 350z/Infinity G35
2005 or newer Honda Accord V6 2 door
Toyota Camry V6

I love my Chrysler 300, so if you want fast get the version with the Hemi. I personally have the 3.5L V6 and for me it's fast enough, I got it more for the ride and look.

Grand Prix are nice but they dont make them anymore LOL i got my 08 tho for 12k 50k miles on it at time of buying...and it a good car tho dont have any problems with it just finally replaced the breaks on it (it was also a rental when i bought it) 110k miles and finally replaced breaks and rotors were still good so imo Pontiac are good cars
