 Re: Mars Curiosity Rover
These images aren't from curiosity. They're from the Exploration rover, I believe.

Whether this was Curiosity or not, it's still an amazing picture with great quality

 Re: Mars Curiosity Rover
Wasn't that interesting to watch, all you could see was a computer simulation of what was actually happening and the room of all the NASA people eating peanuts (it's a good luck charm).

It'd be more entertaining if they'd been eating styrofoam peanuts because it'd be like turning their body chemistry into that of one of the Grey aliens from Mars and they could pretend to be seeking out their long lost uncle.

It was assembled from 817 images taken between Dec. 21, 2011, and May 8, 2012, while Opportunity was stationed on an outcrop informally named 'Greeley Haven'. on a segment of the rim of ancient Endeavour Crater. That Article dabadguy Posted wrote: Michael Malin, a Curiosity team member as well as the head of San Diego-based Malin Space Science Systems, said that high-resolution color pictures taken by the rover during its descent on Sunday night were gradually being sent down to Earth. They'll soon be assembled into an animation with much more detail than the low-res version that was released earlier this week.
