If you're interested in making a map, this guy has some good tutorials. If you want live feedback, you can add me (garrettthegreat1 or ??? if you go through someone's friend list).

 Re: MAP Making ?????
the hardest part about map making is the architectural predesign, if you don't walk into map making knowing where bombsite a and b are, and what you're going to do it's a waste of time. Theres been MULTIPLE attempts by this community to create a custom map and they all go down the drain because no one can keep at it ilong enough.. Before undertaking it, understand that even if you work at it 4-5 hours a day it'll still take anywhere up to 2-3 months to complete. follow garretts link as im sure its the one I used ..nope its not...hold one let me find the one I used.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W0sWjQ5XaAthat guy does the best tutorials Ive seen, follow all his vids and you'll be fine.

 Re: MAP Making ?????
It takes one person probably a few months of steady working to make a map. In highschool me and a friend were making a map of the school for cs. Then after colombine happened, we quickly scrapped it for obvious reasons. But even with two of us knowing what we were doing, it was nowhere near finished after a month and was A LOT of work. Good luck if you decide to do it though. Youtube tutorials are def the way to go for basics though. Goodluck mate.

Play the map in CS:S and type: record demoname Then when you've recorded a full run around the map, type: stop Then, upload the demo and post here.

No. You just have to have CS:S. A .dem file has nothing to do with map ownership other than that whoever recorded the demo has the map.

 Re: MAP Making ?????
I tryed to upload the demo on the members side of the fourms and no one could watch it so I dont know I will record another demo and post it here and see if things change but I will wait until i add a few more details to make the map look that much nicer

 Re: MAP Making ?????
I stand corrected, in order to play back a demo, you'll need to take the .bsp file, and the soundcache and put them into folders named after the same folders they're already in (e.g. "maps") and then zip 'em up along with the .dem file before uploading it.
