 Some dumb bitch totaled my car.So this morning I get a call from from the local police telling me that my car was hit. I had parked in overflow parking on the road, and some stupid bitch hit my car on the back left quarter panel, then managed to swerve and re-hit my car on the front left quarter panel. Both axles are now bent, and my back left quarter panel is in my passenger door. Luckily I wasn't in the car and she left her info before taking off before the cops arrived. Some of the damage is hard to see, but it's likely my car is a complete loss. Some photos:

Re: Some dumb bitch totaled my car. It looks like it will probably be a total loss. I worked as an insurance agent for my first job after college... so if you need any advice when dealing with this, I'm the guy to talk to.
You are extremely lucky that the person left her info... because the claim will go through HER insurance company, not yours. You don't want the claim on your record or your rates will be ugly at renewal (assuming you are under 25?). Otherwise you would have to make an uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage claim against your own policy (basically when you get hit in a hit & run, or the other person doesn't have ins). I'm guessing she was drunk driving, hit your car, didn't want the DUI but also didn't want you to get fucked on her behalf. My aunt and uncle have been driving Saabs since I can remember... they are great cars, I hope you stick with them. _________________  Take everything in moderation, including moderation.
