 Something happen to CSS server?
I was just in there, computer crashed, now the server has vanished from my favorites list.
When i try and add it by ip it also doesnt find it, but it looks like the server is working when I look at gametracker.
Anyone else ever had something like this happen?!
Thanks for the help n00bs

It's your power supply.

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
You think its the power supply that's causing my machine to crash??
Still dont understand why the n00b server wont show up in my server list...
My PSU is brand new 1000w, how would i check to see if something is wrong with it?

You gotta take some solid metal scissors and poke into the back where the fan is. If you get electrocuted there's something wrong.

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
Sounds like what happened to me. Kwang helped me fix it. It was a restriction of airflow to my power supply, causing it to overheat. Easy to fix. I just never expected it.

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
Yeah, everytime some shit like that happens, there's a 75% chance that it's your power supply. Either that, or your graphics card is about to shit the bed...

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
OR its just ur PSU...you totally need a new one and make sure you get the upside down one those are the best.
And yes your PSU + GPU would make the n00bfest sever not show up just sayn

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
this one time my CPU exploded and the server wouldn't show so I rerouted power from the north bridge to the south bridge and everything worked fine.

Or you can just buy some glue sticks and popsicle sticks and make a bridge going from the north bridge to the south bridge and mitigate the power flow between both bridges through the alter-bridge of popsicle sticks.

What did you do to un-restrict airflow from getting to your power supply. I moved my case away from the wall and it seemed to work for a little while until having the same issue. Windows flashes a blue error screen with a bunch of text on it before my monitor goes black and I have to reset. Its a new build, EVGA GTX 680 + Rosewill Bronze 1000w PSU. All the drivers on the video card are up to date. Is that just a shit PSU?? EVGA said that I could send the card in if I kept having problems and they would send me a new one but that seems like more trouble than its worth if its something as simple as opening up the case and messing around with the PSU. I dont really know how to check for a failing PSU. Would it be not sending enough voltage?? It seems more like the overheating problem since it works good for a while before freezing up on me. Again thanks for the help n00bs.

Stop trolling this kid....
Have your memory tested. most of the time blue screens are because of memory dumps.

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
blue screens are memory when ur starting up ur pc when it has the HP Dell or wtf ever Mobo(if custom) brand it is spam f1 or f4 (dont remember which) and bring up your bios and check your memory that way, can also run test on your memory that way to and ur HDD and see how hot your CPU GPU are running at also.

Re: Something happen to CSS server?
It's funny how all this came out of his not being able to access the server...

Lol the server was actually fine, my computer is experiencing some freezing issues. I think it might be the shitty power in my house to be honest, ordering a UPS and hoping that will help with the freezing. Thanks to some of you for trying to help, everyone else was entertaining as always...

You may actually have a shitty power supply, UPS are great for power loss, but those F*CKERS are expensive.
