I know its been quite some time since I have posted my words to these pages, but I just wanted to stop in and say a few things. Mostly to the older members of this community, but also to the newer blood that resides here now. Some may remember me, but most of you probably wont. However, I just wanted to say that Corpse and Gman mostly now that you guys have done amazing with building this community. It takes alot to keep something going and from what I have seen things are still good and active here. You have a head on your shoulders today that when I watched this community start and grow was a bit shaky, but the foundation is obviously in place. You have rules, regulations, recruitment steps, your forums, website, links, stats, and server info. You guys have your shit together these days. I am glad to see this community grow into what I always hoped it would become. I dont know much about the maturity of the newer members you have today, but I can tell that this has changed into a LOT more mature place then when I first remember it being.

The GNG is still around, but we are spread out pretty far into other games. Our site has pretty much been flatline as of late...or for the past couple years. The site admins are running there own lives and things just kind of fell apart. Hopefully with CS GO coming out we will rise like the Phoenix again. Seems that is a GNG creed. Were really active then inactive until something new peeks our interest that were all involved in. However I took a big break from CS when I started school. I just finished my degree, got married a few years ago to the love of my life that I have been with for 13 years now, in a house, still have a good paying stead job, and now have may first child on the way.

Im in a place now that I have some free time to venture back into old territory. I got a CS GO beta key and after playing for a bit I got that bite back for CS that I just lost along time ago. Mainly it was school that ate up my time and with that I had to pass over the reigns to our OGL and CAL teams and I got pissed and kind of quit playing. Now that I am out of school I seem to be coming full circle. I have popped into the server a few times off and on and you will likely see me there more often. I need to get my boundries wit a 28 player server. Im used to the 16-18 player setup. Too much chaos.

All in all I am glad to see this place where its at. Hope to run into some old faces and meet some new ones. This is a great community and if anyone else says otherwise F*CK EM!

Hey buddy. I'm glad your life is going well. I talked with you briefly on steamfriends a couple weeks ago, but otherwise it's been a while. I took n00bfest over from Corpse in 2010 (I think) and it's been growing pretty rapidly ever since. We're doing well. We plan on having a CS:GO server (or two?) up when it releases. Let the other GNG folks know that they're always welcome to come play with us. I can only think of Sammie and HHB, but I'm sure there are some other members that I'd recognize if I saw them on.

Let me be the first new blood to say that it's good to have you back. This has been a great community to be with and don't see it going anywhere any time soon. I'm not sure what the maturity level was when you were around, but I can guess that it isn't much higher than it used to be. Welcome back and congrats on the kid!

I got a GO Beta key in a couple weeks ago. I like the look of the game, but I F*CKING hate the gun action. I cant seem to hit shit in that game. Thats when I came back to Source. I can play Source pretty decent. Not to the OGL or CAL standards I once had, but shit its been years since I have played CS. I got into MW2, BlackOps, and MW3 for awhile, but they become stale quick. Most people I work with play those and I mention that CS is still a far superior game and one of much more skill. You dont have regenerating health, instant respawn, or crazy shit doing the killing for you. CS is a game of teamwork, skill, and communication. You get 100 life and you die at zero. It could take 1 bullet or it could take 9.

Hopefully they change the hitboxes up a little in GO and make the gun action alot better. I LOVE the molotov C*CK and incendiary grenades though. Talk about F*CKING up a choke point!

ps. I will tell HHB and Sammie you said hi. Shit I might try bringing some old CS'ers back over to the server. I know that some of us still play.

Awesome! I havent played CS-GO yet but its installed but i plan on playing Tribes tonight with Acid and Fomenta if i get home in time. I was going to play last night but didnt get home till late :(
