So I tried a Guinness and actually liked it quit a bit. I have never liked beer but now i see its because i have only had shitty beer. So i figure if i like the Guinness the dark stouts might be for me. Here is a link to what people tell me is the best place to get beer, liquor etc in my area let me know if there are any that you all would recommend. Friar Tuck Stout search

keep in mind: because Guinness and Murphy's are both pasteurized stouts, they will be significantly more benign in flavor and body than true stouts and porters. I happen to prefer that. I'm not into super malty beers.

I think you would really like some of my favorite beers, some are stout and some are wheat beers unfiltered!!!
- so FORT COLLINS, CO has the best microbreweries in the world!!! if you ever travel to CO. go to fort collins or boulder and about any eatery has a handful of microbrew beers made locally by hipsters and people who LOVE BEER,
- and I think you might enjoy...
..Blue Moon Wheat Beer any of them!.,
..Odell Brewing Co.- Easy Street Wheat - 90 shilling(stout and dank).,
..New Belguim Brewing Co.- Fat tire ( awesome) - 1554 (stout and dank) - Trippel (hint of coriander abv 7.8%) - Mothership Wit (perhaps the dankest wheat beer made in USA. abv. 4.8%)
..Boulevard Brewing Co. Kansas ,MO - boulevard (top 5 fav. of all-time!)!!!
.. North Coast Brewing Co. Fort Bragg ,CA - Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout (abv. 9% and tasty)
..TommyKnocker Brewing Co. Idaho Springs, CO - Imperial Nut Brown Ale (you'll like the full flavor and aftertaste abv. 9%)
.. South Shore Brewery Co. Ashland, WI. - I know the belanger family personally and their beers are delicious - red lager ( abv 4.6% this is an anytime beer *****star brew) and GREATNESS their porter is what your searching for (abv. 5%) We would get free beer from Francios Belanger (the son of brewmaster Bo Belanger) who was my roomate and good buddy during my jr. hockey career in Northwoods WI. lil story.
The last weekend of us being together and being on the jr team we had a party at our host families house.. 6 of us and 1 keg of Porter!!! we played a game with pitchers where each person on the 3 manned-team would have to chug a whole pitcher then the 2nd teamate then the 3rd teamate and then start over again until there was a winner. It was F*CKING EPIC to say the least as we summed up the game and the keg, the host family comes home and the Mom -Mag freaks the F*CK out and as she walks up the stairs into the kitchen screaming "hey F*CKERS what the hell do you think your F*CKING doing in my F*CKING house" , as her feet hit the top stair she looks up to make eye contact with me Puking into her kitchen garbage can as hard as i can with every disgusting noise a human can make. She got just beat red as she came to realize we wall all so fucked up from drinking this keg and doing pure dextromethorphan hydrocloride the key ingredient in robotussin that makes you trip! .. ahh to be 20 again!!

I like the coffee after taste more than the hops

Stouts you say?

My top favorites:

Convict Hill - Independence Brewery, Austin Texas.
Black Metal - Jester King Brewery, Austin Texas.
Youngs Double Chocolate Stout - Unknown
Guinness - Dublin, Ireland.

Rouge makes a damn good stout too.
