 Act of Valor Review
Since our community film critic is busy smoking a pole in the mens bathroom..
I just saw this film tonight, in fact I just got back from it. This movie, blows every action film out of the water, by a LONG shot. Lets start with the writing.. There isn't much of any, if you're looking for a "feel good storyline I wouldn't bother showing up to this. There is a story line but there isnt as much talking in this as there is in say.. black hawk down, or we were soldiers. Instead of drawing out the story they get straight to the point. the film is loosly based off of real missions conducted (or so they say). Im not going to go into much detail because it would ruin the experience.
the authenticity in the action is unbelievable. its almost feels like a documentary at some points. you can notice a HUGE difference in how the real guys operate vs how actors attempt to portray them. the camerawork is what makes this movie the most though. Instead of the usual hollywood camerawork they continually switched it up.. going from a normal movie angle to an up close and intimate angle, to helmet cams so you can see the movie through their eyes.
I loved this movie and I was speechless during most of it. if you thought about seeing it, do it. If you live under a rock and have never heard of it look it up and check it out.
Im not gonna bother giving this some faggoty hollywood star rating. Sorry to those who like popularity ratings.

I was gonna see this on Friday but my brother wanted Ash and I over for dinner and I worked the rest of the weekend so I couldn't get it. I plan on maybe seeing it after my surgery.

 Re: Act of Valor Review
I agree with everything Snuggle has said. One of THE BEST movies ive seen in a long time and im definitely going to see it again. The fact that these guys are all active duty and filmed the movie in between active deployments make it all that much better, and a simple google search after the movie can give you names to some of the "acts of valor" portrayed within the movie.
interesting facts: They had full cooperation with the navy, and almost every single round fired was live ammunition
just a well done movie, but would you expect anything less from these guys? They are the best for a reason, true heroes

Hit the nail on the head with the discription snuggle l, its not a movie that you go see cause its a movie this shit is real and they did a great job letting the watchers experience what they go through. If I had 10 thumbs I would give it all 10. Great job and BZ to those seals and any other noobs that do anything close to what these guys do.

 Re: Act of Valor Review
I keep hearing AMAZING reviews about this movie. I might actually have to pay money to see it.
And, yes...they had to get full authorization from the DOD for this movie, from what I hear.
