Post Stop Online Piracy Act
Deliberation of the bill continues on the 21st, and for those that don't know anything about the bill, here is a quick and easy infographic that lays it out pretty clearly: http://americancensorship.org/infographic.html

I apologize in advance for bringing politics to this forum, but with the NDAA already passed, it's highly likely that this one will go through, too. But giving companies the power to request defunding, takedown, and censorship of websites that they simply believe to be infringing is just a little too much for me to keep quiet about. In addition, anyone is immediately guilty by association when they refuse to cooperate with the takedown, and are liable. This is the first time in my life that I've felt that the government is pushing through something that will affect me at my level, and it will also be the first time I actually call Congress to urge them not to put this bill through. I hope you guys do, too.

This is the beginning of the New World Order, this is the beginning when our rights are blatantly being taken away. Stop the Jewish Zionists and their puppet Obama while we still can!

I have been against web censorship and for as long as i can remember. Im not an avid torrenter or anything like that but its just wrong to hold the website owner liable for anything posted by users to the site. Absolutely ridiculous and would probably come back and affect us here at n00bfest because we have pretty active forums and there are all sorts of things posted. Imagine coming here and finding a big pop-up that says this site has been blocked. Not cool, if the government enacts this they will realize what kind of a job they have undertaken and I think, personally, that they will ratchet up their efforts and things will end up worse than we originally imagined. Sign the petition, write your congressman, call them, do what you can to stop this.

And on top of Zionism, if this isn't evidence of a communist government then I don't know what is...

Stalinist, yes

Communist? No not really.

Part of the Jewish Conspiracy that is RIAA, of course! I'm actually semi-serious too

Oh and Renyolds, he does not live in a double wide. He live in his wealthy parent's townhouse basement surrounded by bookshelves; with the only thing stockpiled is puppylove from his poodle named Goebbels.

It's plain & simple folks.

If you're against this bill, then the terrorist win.

Quit being unpatriotic douches

Agreed. Hollywood needs this bill to pass so they can stay profitable. We need Hollywood to stay in business so they can keep disseminating American culture abroad, inciting subversives to rebel against anti-Western authoritarian regimes in the Middle East and Asia. Just some recent examples:

12/17/2010: Tron: Legacy
12/18/2010: Start of protests in Tunisia
1/14/2011: Tunisian president Ben Ali flees the country

1/21/2011: No Strings Attached
1/25/2011: Start of protests in Egypt
2/11/2011: Egyptian president Mubarak resigns

2/11/2011: Just Go With It // Never Say Never (hard to tell which one was the spark here)
2/15/2011: Start of protests in Libya
10/20/2011: Libyan leader Gaddafi killed

LOL? are you serial? terrorists win? TROLOLOLOLOL.

I think what you guys really need to do is get lobbyists out of washington to stop passing stupid bills. Hollywood remains profitable despite piracy, they always have been. Especially now that itunes and places like that exist. Its gotten 300x harder to find shit nowadays tehn it was 6 years ago. I really doubt hollywood films were the causes of the tunisia riots, if you paid attention it was actaully the act of one man who sparked tunisia, and eventually resulted in egypt. Don't give yourselves so much credit for what happened.

Also, if you remove the blinders once in a while you might see the light, and understand how the world operates.

rofl.. so heres hte short version of how it happens woodyco.

A corporate interest wants something to be put into legislation. THey hire a special interest group aka a lobbyist, Lobbyist, goes around gathering votes by doing special favors for politicians, wining and dining them, and convincing them of what the right way to vote is --> politician votes --> bill passed.

It doesn't matter if they do pass it, people like me will find ways around it, you cannot stop us, you cannot stop the future...

This made me lol

But for a serious side, it isn't a Jewish conspiracy, it's a Jewish fact. A few examples off the top of my head:

Without some types of lobbying groups a lot of the things that the regular non-corporate American people need or want would almost certainly never be or take much longer at being put into law. The problem is that a lot of really bad people have access to a lot of money and are able to hire a lot more lobbyists.

Any true patriot knows that this is nothing more than propoganda spread by the same Group that tried to convince Americans that the hippie movement was real.

You're right, jack abramoff was just propoganda. Oh wait, he's a real person and he got in shit for doing exactly those things. Not sure what you mean by "patriot" but you clearely haven't gotten out very often. Oh and watch what kwang posted, the winner of that video was the individual movement of the 60's and the anti corporation/anti gov't of the early 1900's which still goes on today.

we live in a world of terrorists who are jealous of our freedoms and our christian religion.

if censoring the internet prevents terrorists from killing just one person, then it's worth in my book; and should be worth it in any true patriots book.
