Post New Zombie Ammo
Had a gun show today and found Hornady's new Zombie Max ammo. I'd almost bought online recently but glad I didn't when I found it at the show. The hallow point has a green tip insert.

It also comes in

.380
9MM
.40
45 AUTO
.223
30-30 WIN
7.62X39
.308
2 3/4" 12G OO Buck

This is strictly a novelty ammo. I would not recommend for personal protection, even though ballistically its a hollow point. If used during a self defense situation I could only imagine the other guy's lawyer presenting to the jury you using Zombie ammo. LEWLS

The Zombie survival guide sucks, man. The shit in it -- specifically about firearms -- pissed me off. Dude has no idea what the F*CK he's talking about for the most part. It's like he has a basic understanding of firearms but learned everything else from movies.

Anything with weapons in the book blows. It was a disappointment. I just started on World War Z at work, we'll see how that goes.

Other than that I read a lot of true stories of the old west.

I'm currently reading Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Merridian" -- it's about a teenager who runs away from home in 1849 and joins up with a band of marauders. It's FULL of ridiculous violence. I was hooked after the part with the tree full of dead babies.

I'll pick it up.

I just started The Captured: A True Story of Abduction by Indians on the Texas Frontier. I just finished Crow Killer: The story of John Liver Eating Johnson and The Mad Trapper of Rat River: The story of Canadas largest manhunt of a trapper / killer. Crow Killer is amazing, the Mad Trapper is ok.

I thought the same thing when i read this. Although world war z is much better. Also the author's dad was mel brooks, from young frankenstien, blazing saddles, and men in tights so that might explain the silly firearm info in the survival guide.
