I wouldn't doubt it man. Technology is growing exponentially. Soon no one will know how many devices there will be in the world. You see that today new phones keep coming out with new features, but we can classify smartphone as a computer with phone. Tablets are a new creation as well. Who knows what will come out in the future decades.

It is pretty awesome, would be great if it wouldn't attract dust, fingerprints or stains (liquid and splooge)

The AMOLED displays have been in the works for a decade at least. This kind of tech has been around for a long-ass time it just hasn't been mainstreamed. I remember reading articles about the development cycle and how the issue was just getting costs down to the consumer level which means higher level organizations already have this shit as a matter of course in financing its proliferation.

The first few Duke Nukem games were great, Duke Nukem Forever wasn't. I have no problem ripping on one of the most over-hyped and underachieving games in history.

I had an AMOLED display'd PMP (Cowon S9) until I dropped it into my soup while I was watching a movie. Video quality was pretty damn amazing and music quality was pretty good as well. Finding a battery to fix it was a bitch though..never found one

If anything, it would look like the tablets that they use in Avatar at the beginning. They have a frame but are transparent.

From the inside of this industry I would have to say we are still a ways away. If you have seen Captain America, where the older Stark is showing off the levitating vehicle, that's kind of where we are.

I don't understand how there's a holographic image there, unless there's so much dust for these particles to bounce off of that it lights up. It just doesn't make sense to me at all. In order to show an image like that, there has to be something for the light to touch.

Watch MY video, it has the actual prototypes but even those aren't as ridiculously futuristic (or fake looking) as Jet's video shows. That one is a cgi deal.

my thought on holograms is that they don't need dust to work, but the technology has not been developed/perfected to be able to "excite" actual air molecules with frequency energy at specific distances from a surface or energy source in a controlled manner. typically, when molecules get "excited" they tend to begin moving at increasing speeds. if you were to try and light up dust, you would be projecting an image with light, which could be projected onto any surface, and likely would not work well with dust particles.

I want this tablet I will see what its like when they come out with it in the next yr or so. If it is even half as cool as the video ill be getting one.

I can't remember the manufacturer, but I sae a concept video a couple years ago similar to that for a phone based on nano technology that could expand, shrink, fold, and be worn like a watch or a purse accessory (for people like luff). If they could pull it off it would really be F*CKING amazing.
