Post Skyrim or MW3
Alright here is the deal. From my old job I have a gift certificate staring me in the face and I have enough to get one of these games or the other. So my question is to you guys, what to get? I love RPGs and am currently playing through Dragon Age 2, but I am a FPS gamer at heart logging hundreds of hours starting with the original Rainbow Six (where you had to play with inverted mouse [how I have to play]) to CSS, and most recently Black Ops. What do you think?

I like Skyrim a lot, but with the single player I assume eventually I'm going to get a little sick of it. I've only played a bit of MW3; I never played other CODs but from what I hear it's not much of a change from MW2. What about BF3? People seem to like that a lot...anyways I guess my point is if you wanna extend the bang for your buck, prob best to get a multiplayer game.

Plus, since Skyrim isn't multiplayer, there are rumors floating around that you can acquire it without the requisite coin...

Every COD game is essentially the same game with a few different maps/different skins. I would say get Skyrim, or if you really want to get an fps get battle field. Though honestly I would currently play bad company 2 over battlefield 3.

skyrim will get dull with it being single player only and not MMO

MW3 was a disappointment to me personally. I liked COD 4, got me pumped up, it was an amazing game, MW2 wasn't bad, the ending of single player was stupid IMO. MW3 is the same engine, same physics, and the single player was a little bit qwerky. Didn't have me as hyped as the previous 2.

if your computer can handle it BF3 is a better investment. if not, its really up to you but Id take MW3 only because of the multiplayer option, nothing more.

The multiplayer in mw3 is not really much fun at all and gets boring fast. I'm already tired of it honestly. The only thing i've had fun playing on MW3 is survival mode.

I recommend those who are not hardcore RPG'ers and don't like games with really no direction stear clear of Skyrim ;)

I have the original MW and Black Ops as well as Morrowind and Oblivion. So ive played both franchises pretty extensively. Im not concerned about RPG being MMO or not but from what im hearing MW3 really isnt living up to the hype.

Skyrim is fun but you have to have a certain love for playing with yourself... by yourself.. I mean.

do the gamestop trick and play all of them...

i.e. buy one game, play it for 2 weeks, return it for full price and buy the other game, wash rinse and repeat until you get the game you like the best...

Only problem with that is BF3 and MW3 would be for PC and cant return them after the seal is broken only thing that would be console would be Skyrim

Did you decide yet? If not I fully recommend Skyrim. The only problem I would put out there is that there is A LOT of man hours you need to put into that game. I also recommend it for le pc, rotating through first person and third with the angles is a lot more practical with a mouse bud.
