Post Vinyl player
Hey, I've noticed most of today's great bands release their work on vinyls because it simply sounds a lot better than on CD. I tried to find some vinyl players around here but can't find any (at least not a single vinyl player that isn't younger than my grand-father).

I'm trying to find a decent one on internet, but I don't have any idea on what to look for. I have a really good sound system, so I'd just need the vinyl player.

Could anyone that knows anything about this help me find a good one? The maximum I'd pay for it would be $70-80.

Thanks

dad has one in the garage... enjoy the sounds of bigroom production... they had ROOMS in the 70's and 80's full of hardware we are missing from mp3's....

I'll be following this thread because I've also been looking for a nice gramophone for quite a while now.

Two things:
1, unless your sound system cost well over $2,000 v0 mp3 will be transparent and thus vinyl is a waste. v0 mp3 = 320kb/s. Flac = 750+. I have a flac song that is 250mb. 5200kb/s. And a sound system that can utilize it. Ask Chris about the Hotel California I played for him when he came up to CMU.
2, If you do have aforementioned sound system getting a 70 to 80 dollar vinyl player is a waste of money. You'd be better off getting digital flac, because the shitty vinyl player you got can't output high enough quality to utilize your sound system.
3, BONUS POINTERS. UNLESS YOU'RE USING ANALOG OR DIGITAL LINKING VINYL IS NO BETTER THAN FLAC or lossless wav.

You can't half ass a sound system. Your sound system is only as good as the weakest part. If you have a shitty reciever, your $4000 surrounds and center are going to sound like piss. If you have a shitty center your music will be missing 50% of it's sound. If you have a shitty sub you'll be listening to the most boring music ever. The only part you might be able to get away with half assing is the surrounds. They don't do much for music. Music is all in the center, sub and reciever.

EDIT:
Cunt, big room production is still around. Just not with the shitty mainstream faggots. Anything house-y, dance (like flo-rida, afrojack ETC) isn't produced in what you're thinking of. Pendulum is one of my favorite bands of all time because they do their shit in what you're talking about. You can tell from how crystal clear their synths and bass are when listening to their music. I damn near shit my pants when I got my hands on the flacs of all their albums. I've had them for over a year and I still listen to them every other day. Shit is amazing.

My sound system is in the average price for good quality : 1500-1600 (got it from my grand-father). But I don't get the whole v0 mp3 thing.. What should I buy and what should I look for for the best sound assuming that the system is medium quality then?
