Ordered this scooter today. I have never owned a bike/moped before. This one only goes up to 45mph and is street legal since its only a 50cc engine.

Some of you guys have some nice bikes ive seen on here, but knowing myself if I was going any faster on 2 wheels I know i would end up getting myself killed here in florida.

Got sick of sinking money into my old 99 Pointiac GP SE, and havnt decided what to with it yet. We will see if this scooter is worth it.

The whole scooter thing isn't really gay but is it practical? unless everything is 10 miles or less from your house its gonna take like and hour to get there.

Its good on gas and the area i live has everything real close, saint petersburg is a crowded ass place. Just ready to try a diff form of transportation and this was quite cost effective

+ it smells and sounds like shit. But it is practical when everything's close just like cybrslsh said. Young boys here have fun pimping their scooter. As long as you don't put some neon lights or mags and shit, it's alright. Once you think that this thing is powerful and cool, it's not alright.

This is a great idea.

When you're filling up your tank for 2 bucks and the other guys are spending 60...it makes the humiliation worth it.

For that price, you can't really go wrong with it.

A guy I worked with years ago bought one to get around the graduated licensing up here in Canada. He loved it! We all made fun of him at first but in reality there is a little boy inside all of us who actually wants to ride it for fun. Just remember that people in cars will not always see you just like they do to other bikes but at least you won't be going as fast if you have to ditch. Just be aware and enjoy the savings and all the pride parades you'll be in.

I think it looks pretty cool. I know a TON of people around college towns and stuff ride them. i wish I had had one while I was in school

Bro I live on an Island and own a vespa s50. Its more than crowded during the summer its down right sardined....... But I smile and chuckle everyday riding the shoulder Past all the Yuppies. while they are Looking miserable sitting in traffic Trying to be so Cool.... I Myself have never payed more than 10$ in gas and I don't Sit in traffic There are so Many Advantages to owning a scooter in a small congested Area. but only one Needs to be Voiced, The only stupid thing about a scooter in these situations is NOT OWNING ONE. this is also funny, 66th street, the main road right where I live has its speed limit to 40, and this italia goes up to 45 which means i could technically get a speeding ticket on this damn scooter, lmao

Scooters are popular in Montreal. You can ride them in Canada when you're 14 so a lot of younger people get them before they have their car license. I don't think they're ''too'' gay, as long as you don't dress like the dudes in high's picture. Hey, if it can save you money on gas and time in traffic, why not?

i know it costs a lil more.... but i think i would just get a real bike. I mean, you can find them for pretty cheap nowadays.

If i pulled up to work on that i would have to fight someone at some point during the day.

Yes i COULD have bought a real bike, but that would defeat the whole idea of saving money on gas. Plus I don't need to be going 60+mph down here in florida where most motorcyclists die all the time. This is going to be a secondary vehicle for short-distances and hopefully it wont turn out to be a huge waste of money.
