 cooking
I know some of you are hardcore cookers, and its been posted before but I am currently looking for some good cooking recipes, specifically pasta related but I will take most everything under consideration. As I just picked up a second job Id rather not eat like shit since it will kill every ounce of energy and motivation I have.
Therefore those of you who are hardcore *cough* coach *cough* where can I find some solid recipes to test out?
Kankles in advance!

Well I'm not a great cook, but I have a couple things I'm good at cooking. I was thinking the other day of getting a smoker and start experimenting with hitting up some barbeque

 Re: cooking
Ok - I dunno how to make this but my favorite pasta ever was called pasta pizza.
It's basically lasagna, but instead of being in a pan you boil, then cook some of the stringy pasta to be the outside part, and then put the lasagna in the middle. Then you toss some provolone on top and go to town on it.

 Re: cooking
This is my favorite pasta recipe:
1. pour box of pasta in a pot and boil till tender. 2. drain water and stir in some margerine. 3. add powdered cheese mix and stir. 4. add milk to thicken cheese sauce.
Waa Laa!

My mom's homemade Alfredo pasta: Sauce: 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream 1 stick of butter Mix both ingredients in a bowl. Noodles: Just boil water and cook noodles until tender Then add in mixed sauce Then add Parmesan cheese and stir the pasta until you have your alfredo at your desired consistency. i prefer it being thicker myself.

 Re: cooking
One of the best websites I've found is: http://www.eatingwell.com/. It has a lot of different dishes - most of them are under 30 minute prep/cook time. They even have a meal planner section which could help you out if you don't like to organize: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes_menus ... meal_plans. My favorite recipe they have is so ridiculously good and quick to make, you'll die when you eat it: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/red_p ... annon.html. MMMM! Anyways, give em a try!

 Re: cooking
Pasta with alfredo sauce and mushrooms. To make the alfredo sauce you'll need some heavy cream or milk of you want less calories some parmasean cheese and butter you can use margarine if you like now put the heavy cream or milk in a pan and reduce to half then add the cheese you can add as much or as little as you like then add the butter to thicken the sauce the mushroom you can saute in extra virgin olive oil or you can put them in the sauce. Another recipe i like is angel hair pasta with olive oil&garlic and crab meat just cook the pasta and then in another pan saute the crab meat in extra virgin olive oil with the garlic and pour the sauce over the pasta.

 Re: cooking
You need: about half pound of beans (like this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:White_beans.jpg.) leave it in water for a night to soften it out. 1 sausage stick (like this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Krajanska.jpg.) - the stick should be around 16" long (haha.. funny... 16" polish sausage...) 2-4 large white onions (depending how much u like onions) 2-4 red peppers (depending how much you like red peppers) quarter pound of a good quality baconspices: some marjoram, salt, black pepper, sweet pepper, oregano 1-2 jars of tomato concentrate (like this one: http://www.capri-flavors.com/index.php? ... ts_id=1711.) (depending how much u like tomato :)) 1) Get a pot and throw beans there and start boiling it on low fire / heat (very low - it should keep constant - under boiling temperature) 2) Cut red pepper in small dices throw into the pot. 3) sausage, onions and bacon - each of them separately: cut in small dices and fry on an pan (use olive oil) While frying add some spices (red pepper, marjoram, oregano). Be careful - don't burn it - fry on low on medium. And of course throw it into the pot (except oil - reuse it for next frying session). and don't fry everything at once - fry small portions one by one. 4) Let it boil on low till the beans get really soft - about 2 hours or even longer. Every 15-20 minutes try it and add spices to mach your taste. In last half hour start adding tomato concentrate - add one jar. Taste if it's enough - if not add another one. BTW - do not use to much water for boiling. Water should barley cover all the ingredients. At the end the soup should be very dense. Serve it mixed with one spoon of sour cream per serving. Get FAT. And no, it is not a chilli. I come up with that recipe 7-8 years ago before I even had a chance to taste a chilli.

 Re: cooking
And for breakfast - flapjacks flapjacks: 1 egg 125 grams of flour glass of milk (fat one) - 250 ml little of salt (maybe half of tea spoon) some vegetable oil Mix egg, flour and salt and half glass of milk. Add some vegetable oil (table spoon or two). Mix it. Add another half glass of milk. Mix it. Prepare pan - use large one. Heat it on low - mid for minute of two. Put thin layer of wad (or whatever it's called). Hard part: guessing if one side is ready and if I can flip the flapjack... Takes years of experience (not the best example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8brsRtNeiys - actually this guy suck). Best server (IMO): spread thin layer of gottage cheese and then some jam. Roll it up. Enjoy! Best with milk or coffee.

 Re: cooking
Shrimp with rice. 1 tomato 1 onion 1 garlic 1 sack of rice (the little one will be fine) 1 bottle of oil 1 can of cream of shrimp
RICE
First you need to clean the rice, than you cut one garlic head and throw in a pan with the oil. After the garlic is turning golden you throw the rice in there with water. Add water. (2 glasses of water for 1 glass of rice and so forth.) Every now and than you stir so that the rice dont get stuck at the bottom of the pan. Let it sit there until the water is gone (check with a knife, stick the knife in the rice to see the water level)
SHRIMP
Cut the tomato (your option to take out the seeds and shit) , onion (can be half if it's just for yourself) and the garlic head into little pieces. Put it in a pan with oil and wait until the garlic and onion start to turn golden. Add as much shrimp as you like and wait until the shrimp start changing colors. Add half of the can of cream of shrimp first to the mix. Add more of the cream later if you dont like the thickness of the mix.
Serve and eat up. Brazilian Style for you F*CKERS.
