Hey guys. I was in the middle of a depressing thinking session this morning as I got ready for class today, and I thought I'd like to share with you all a story.

Back in the fall of 2009, I started college. Yippee, I was on my way to becoming a Computer Engineer! Midway through my first semester, I took up playing Counter Strike Source. I played on the default maps for a couple weeks, until I decided that it was pretty F*CKING boring. Nobody talking, no real test of skill either cause let's face it, bots suck, unless they're modded on a server. Anyway, I played on a some servers for all of 10 minutes and wasn't very amused, until I came upon the n00bfest main server. This is where the fun stuff began.

Joining the server, my ears were instantly blasted with a bunch of loud ass people bitching at each other about randy shots or some teammate being a jackass. I thought it was amusing, so I stayed in the server. Not too far in, I tked someone with a nade. Sounds about right, doesn't it? I said sorry and everything, I was forgiven. Few rounds later, I do the same thing, and after much bitching, I was kicked by Joe Mamma... go figure. A little pissed about it having liked playing on the server, I switched my name from KhaoticReign to DeadManRunnin. Since it's not often that name changes are checked unless it's while in the server or there is suspicion in regards to hacking, I continued to play, and didn't throw another damn grenade.

Over the course of a few months, I began to realize with all the bickering aside, everyone here at n00bfest was really friendly, and it was like a community or family rather than just another clan. It was at this point I decided to join you guys, and applied for n00b. After Cpt. Reynolds posted my official welcome and told me to tag up as an rct, I was not aware of what was in store. A few months of slapping all over the place, and Turkey burning the shit outta me every time he was in the server, and I loved every second of it. Now let's skip ahead a little closer to the present.

I've been here for nearly 2 years now, and I've even gone as far as to apply for admin and climbed the ranks up to Major. Each person I've met here has in some way made my life a lot better, whether it be by friendship, simply talking about things, or just making me laugh till I cry in the server. It's meant a lot to me, cause things haven't been all fun and games for me, and I'm sure a lot of you have some experience with that in your own way. As for myself, I had Bacterial Meningitis at the age of 6, which caused me to have a stroke. My father passed on after having a Grandmaul Seizure (spelling?). For the past 6 years I've been helping my mom with my 2 younger sisters, the oldest of which has Autism. And now, 2 years into college, I'm failing out. I tried, which is a lot better than most people can say, but it's hitting me hard. I've talk to some of you in regards to this, and I thank you guys. It's really helped me think about things and feel better.

Now why am I spilling all this shit to you guys? It's because n00bfest is probably one of the best things I've come upon in my life, and it's nice to know I have a lot of people to turn to should I ever need anything. I'm also bringing this up because lately I've seen a lot of unnecessary squabbling between n00bs and even regulars that's just downright stupid. Part of my applying for admin was so I could help keep things fun for everyone, and help to keep n00bfest as the community we all know and love. I feel obligated as an admin and a member of the community to speak up about it, which is why I am posting here in the general discussion section for all to see.

Take this however you all want to. I just wanted to say what was on my mind, and let you guys all know that I thank you for making my life a little more pleasant.

Well n00bfest is home away from home, i've had my share of up and down periods in my life during my time here at n00bfest and just coming into the server raging a little bit makes it all good :)

Oh Deadman come down to KC so i can hug you buddy...and get you laid lol =P much love ♥ and yeah honestly since finding this place last July my stress has gone down 10 folds. I used to have high blood pressure and i want to think that it's because of all of you guys being there that i can proudly say that i no longer have high blood pressure. Then again though, it could be from football as well who knows =p

To all the other rct's Deadman is and probably will always be "THE BEST F*CKING RCT EVER!", you guys could take a page out of his book on how to be an awsome rct. Luv ya buddy and I'm still going to slap you around even if your an admin, lol.
