Re: my wifes new hunting riffle
Edited it and made it more reasonable. P.S. I have one of those, but I never really shoot it. I've put maybe 20 rounds through it since I bought it. They're good guns, but I'm partial to my .30-06.
Strange has one, too. Pretty much every self-respecting adult male in TX owns one of those things 'cause lever action rifles are just F*CKING manly as all hell... no offense to your wife, of course. ;-)

30-30s are the shit. Mine is as accurate and reliable as any gun I own.

The closest I came to owning one of those was a toy replica that made a "POW" sound when you pumped the lever a few times.

Re: my wifes new hunting riffle
I have the exact same gun except the magazine tube goes all the way to the muzzle. My Marlin 30-30 was my first deer rifle when I was 14. My first gun ever actually. It came with a scope already and I shot my first deer with it. It was running too. It's a very accurate rifle. The cowboy style lever action is cool too, as well as reliable.
