Sadly its all web based and since its in beta there isnt a whole bunch of cool shit on it yet. But for a free laptop is FCKING sweet. If anyone is interested this is where you apply. http://www.google.com/chromeos/pilot-program-cr48.html I applied for it back in december and i got it today.

I was leaving yesterday with my wife to go run some errands and I was like wtf is this box here. When I opened it up I was in disbelief. The thing is F*CKING awesome though. I love it.

Sheesh. ♥ The plan is free and has no contract with Verizon Wireless. Its not like your cell phone plan or anything like that. It has like built in mifi that comes from VZW at 100mb a month for free for 2 years. They also allow you to purchase plans if you need more than 100mb a month.
