Surprisingly so, though Tea Party made gains in some states but losses in other though I bet it will be played up as a "great victory". Guess if any side wants to get work done they'll have to do some work together the way the election has turned out. Going to be quite an interesting two years.

Hell no, but I bet you Wallstreet takes off with big gains, Bush tax cuts get extended and business starts hireing again, no more bailouts will ever get approved and goverment growth will be limited if not reversed etc... And maybe, just maybe the Obamacare program get's repealed or at least the rough edges get rounded so that cost increases will be manageable. It's a step in the right direction. I'm a Libertarian and would have like to see both Dem and Repukes get their walkin papers and the power and agenda returned to the people.

True story, look at history the presidents party has a tendency to lose seats in his first midterm.

Only thing wrong with that though the party usually uses that as an excuse which gets annoying cause I would hope for people to be creative than say "it's the nature of the beast".

Well I really hope they don't trash the Health Care reform. I don't think the current bill is right for our country, but to get rid of it all together would be a HUGE step backwards. Tax cuts are debatable in that we definitely DO NOT need them, but for any leader to suggest tax increase in any way is suicide. The bailouts were unavoidable, but I don't think that we should let it happen again. The problem is not so much the bailout itself, but in preventing companies from becoming too big to fail. Free market is not the answer, and as much as you're going to hate to hear this Durango, in my opinion, the government needs to step in and regulate.

Would be quite difficult if they even attempted to retract health care as they do not have a majority in Senate, only way forward now is to ether have 2 dead years of no progress or for the two [and now really three] sides to work their shit out together.

I'm hoping for the latter, but am most likely going to be disappointed.
