My computer is hanging/bluescreening on boot with a 0x7f stop code (WinXP Pro SP3). I'm in the process of reinstalling the OS and whatnot, but one of my hard drives is likely dead, or my SATA controller on my motherboard may be hosed... which means I may be out of commission game-wise for a week or two.

Just a heads-up, nigras.

It bluescreens on first boot every single time. I've installed it twice. Safe mode doesn't work, because it says "YOUR FIRST BOOT MUST BE IN NORMAL MODE. PLEASE REBOOT INTO NORMAL MODE" and then it reboots and bluescreens when it tries to go into normal mode.

So yeah... F windows 7.

Edit: I see that SP1 has been pushed out for Win7. I might download it and give it a shot. Gotta love MSDN access.

hmmm... musta been a rare issue, or just a 32 bit issue, cuz i had an 8800gtx with win 7 ultimate 64 bit and no issues at all.

FIXED!

My secondary HDD (with all of my movies, tv, music, downloaded software, etc) went dead and was causing my system to bluescreen. When it died, it corrupted the registry hive files (read: windows registry) on my other system and nuked the OS installation.

Luckily, I had all of the n00bfest stuff that I need -- like source images for the header and animations -- backed up on both drives, so I've still got that stuff.

I just lost a years worth of downloading awesome things to watch.

Maybe you shouldn't eat over the top of it anymore. Try a table like normal, smaller people.
