I have all my music folder by folder. Example: All that remains, AC/DC. Doctor P etc. are all in they're own folders on my E: drive.

If thats how your is, then you should just be able to choose the tabs you have like album/ track/artist etc and it'll list by the one you click.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, all I know is I use Foobar and Foobar only...so I might be able to help

Edit:

Oh wait, yeah...You have to change the properties of each song to its correct track # and then activate the track # tag and sort it by that...I think.

It's all in what tabs you have active, activate track # and it should sort by that once you click it...you click album, then track # actually then ur good.

Sounds like what I do with mine. Accept I go a little farther. I've got a music folder, then folders for each genre, then folders for each artist. The ones were I have a shit ton of songs I even put album folders lol. Not be be OC about it. Just so it makes it easier to find one song out of 3,000. It's always just been easier for me that way.

I listen to entirely too many genre's for that...I like alot of dubstep and house and if I put it in genre's #1 artist would have songs in genre #1 and #2 and would just make it more confusing.

Ya same here, I have a whole lot of different types of music. So when it comes to something were they have multiple styles, I either choose one of them to put all their music into, or I put it into a random folder(meaning I have a folder named random) wich is were the ones I just can't decide on go. But I don't use this fubar program so I don't know about all that crap. I just arrange as I download then after i'm done downloading an artist open them all in Itunes and fix all the artist and title names so they are arranged right. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's not as long as you just get it done as you go.

me either, i'm obviously not seeing something that is right in front of me. I've taken a few days off to pursue more important things like buying shit for my new car and finding an apt.

But I still have problems. If I select an entire album through the 'album list' plugin in foobar then the songs load in 'track order'. However, if I just go into a music folder, select all the tracks, and click play in foobar then they load in alphabetical order. It's more of an annoyance than anything else.

Oh, and yea eventually I may sort my music by genre but they would be very broad genres:

rock -> old school rock/rock/alternative/metal/industrial
punk -> punk/punk rock/ska
hip hop -> rap/hip hop
Jazz & Blues-> Jazz/Blues/Funk/Soul/R&B
Techno -> Drum'n'Bass/Trance/Happy Hardcore/Bristol Beat

Take a band like AFI that went from str8 punk to rock its too weird to even mess with. The whole 'label' thing is ghey anywayz.

Do I need to introduce you to dubstep? Once you go dub, you never go back...If you can handle it in the first place :)

you mean like 70s and 80s? I'm not into it. When I grew up everyone in my neighborhood everyone would argue who was better Guns'N'Roses or Metallica meanwhile I was listening to Public Enemy. Although I did start getting into Metallica after I started listening to alternative, the old Metallica not the new shit. It would make up such a small portion of my collection it wasnt worth mentioning.

/Mindless

Yea since you mentioned it I was going to check it out but I'm not really into techno/dance anymore unless i'm in the mood. There are so many damn genres of techno its annoying trying to find what I really like but I know for sure I like what I listed above.
