So I left for Arizona on Tuesday to attend my Grandma's funeral. All went well with that. And today we were supposed to leave to go home to Austin. Well, we check into the airport an hour before our flight leaves, and we get to the gate as they are boarding. We notice that they make 15-20 people stand next to the wall, saying, "We'll see if we have room to get you on the plane, please wait here." And as it ends up, my sister and I aren't allowed to get onto the plane because we were within the last 20 people to check in. Which is completely bullshit in my opinion. Because they had room on the plane to accommodate us, but unfortunately because of the hurricane in Texas right now, they had to restrict the limit of people they let on the plane.

So we waited and waited until they got done talking to people about their situations. And when it was our turn, we were nice and not assholes. So we ended up getting a free hotel stay for the night, three free meals, free transportation to and from the airport as well as anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel, and a $500.00 voucher for future US Airway flights. Which is pretty sweet. :)

Although I was really looking forward to going home. :(
