 Bicycle
I'm not sure what all of you enjoy doing in your spare time, other than CSS, drinking and what not. But I figured since my bike has been my hobby for about 9 years and it's beeen broken for about 5 months, i'de post some pics of it when I got a new frame, forks and like 4 other new parts 2 days ago and rebuilt it. I think it looks nice...You guys might not think it's worth all the money I spent on it(buying that exact bike would run you well over $1600.) But It's like anyones hobbies, it's what I enjoy, so it's all worth while. I guess I could have owned another car by now, but wouldn't be as fun haha.

 Re: Bicycle
I don't wanna say gay. But, gay.
Actually, whatever floats your boat. Is that a competition bike?

 Re: Bicycle
I'm willing to look at anything from someone elses prospective, when I played basketball, I thought skateboarding was gay. But then I started skating and hated BMX riders, then I started riding and realized its all the same in the end. People might think it's gay, but the bike is just a part of it. BMX is more like n00b, just one big community full of people that enjoy the same activity. Just like every hobby. Accept most people wouldn't understand how much more technical, difficult and risky the sport is than any of the sports you see on tv. The people that actually ride are more into it for friends than the actual sport. It's just sattisfying to go out with 6 friends and F*CK around riding around town, pull a few good tricks and call it a day. I mean, there's obviously something good about it if milions of people are willing to go out daily and put their lives on the line time after time, just for the satisfaction of pulling one little trick. Ya know? Umm the ones you see in competitions(like the ones you see pro's riding in the x-games) are handed to them for free from their sponsores. Most of the parts are prototypes and not quite as expensive. But they are built to the same dimentions. So ya, I guess you could say it's a competition bike. But I don't compete anymore. After taking some REALLY bad wrecks it makes you think hard about why you actually do it. So you just set limits for yourself so you can keep on doing what you love without the risk of losing it forever...Or worse. Edit: I know someone's bound to give me shit for this, but just if you're interested/bored and have free time. This kinda sums up why it's so fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GbuAeOdoq4

Brakeless for life yo
I need new rims, maybe double walls since I'm not rough like I used to be. New frame would be solid but my wethepeople 4 seasons pro is doing well for 4 years or so.

Normally the lighter/stronger, the more it will cost you. Now you could buy parts cheap and build it yourself like I do.

NIGGA WTF!?, how the F*CK is a bunch of metal pipes, chain, tires, and no brakes cost that much xD It's pretty easy to spend that much. Just the hub on that back wheel is $200, frame's $400, forks $130, hell even that chain is $30. But it's more about the heat treating process. Just a normal heat treated chromoly frame is pretty cheap. But with a frame like mine they use a process called Supertherm heat treating. It air hardens. So while heat treating it is very strong, but it just keeeps getting stronger. I'm not sure how it works really though. Dieus wrote: Brakeless for life yo

Ya weed it is pretty gay to be able to ride a bike in normal clothes. You can't possibly look gay wearing that rainbow spandex of yours for wind resistance :D

Road bike. That's what I want. Suggestions on type or brand? One of my best friends was a competition BMX biker, she was one of the top females in the country. You should see her legs, all scarred up from crashes though.

 Re: Bicycle
it first depends on how much u want to spend on it, and what kind of use you'll do with it, if you just wanna ride it to go to your friend's place, it doesnt worth the 1500-3000, on the other hand, if you're going to use it frequently and spend a lot of energy on it, you can get some real great bikes
_______
here's my point : supposing that you'll use it to get it for your personal fitness (means that you'll work really hard on it), you'll look for the lightest bike. the lighter it is, the most expansive it is since they'll be made with different materials, a better soldering, and a better frame.
I do downhill bike, so I need a heavier kind of frame, but i also do crosscountry bike, so i also have a lighter bike cuz i have to climb hills and rocks. so here's the deal, and don't think that it'll be real cheap, 2-3k is the average of good bikes, performance and race bikes could cost up to 10k or so... it's not like a guitar where you're looking for the best sound, it's all about materials.
i cant really tell you which bike to look for since i dont know lots about road biking, i just know what to look for, so the best is to ask to a professional, but dont ask big bike companies, ask some little shops, where the guy will explain you what you need, cuz most of big brand sellers will try to give u more than what u need, and sometimes, they install some cheap pieces on great frames.
i think weed could help u more on which bike u should look for cuz he's more into road biking than me.
hope it helped u at least a bit ^^

When your foot slips off, pedals drill your shins haha. It's pretty rare to see girls that are good on bikes. I know a few names of good girl riders. Is her name Nina?

 Re: Bicycle
I am doing p90x and am strong, and have done my fair share of biking and want to add to the workout. I'm small so I need one that actually doesn't give me a hernia to lift or pedal.
I'm old, remember? LOL, she's in her 30s, before your time, but her name is Julee. Seriously good when she was a teen.

 Re: Bicycle
I own a really nice Jamis Aurora road/touring bike. I F*CKING hate it. I think either I'm not built for biking, or I'm not doing it right. Within 5 minutes of starting, my legs burn like F*CK (my legs are so completely in shape that when girls see them they go oooh aaah) and my ass & yarbles start to hurt. I've tried new pedals, shoes, saddle, etc. But still shitty bad feeling.
So I'm going back to running, may sell this thing.

I need coffee before seeing that shit, it's too early. YARBLES. Omy. Almost sig worthy. Pics of your legs or it didn't happen. hahaha
