Post Online classes
I just want to say that I started taking online classes a couple weeks ago, and it's driving me nuts.

If anyone else has any tips for me to help make all the writing stuff easier let me know.

I feel like I've been writing a lot of gobbledygook just to make my replies 150 words or more lol.

I've so been wanting to write replies to peoples post like "It feels like I'm reading the textbook again"

or "I totally agree!" "lol"

or "I'm writing in response to your post so that I don't get a bad grade" "lol"

Is it at Phoenix online? If so, i did that for 2 years and for the DQ questions I would just copy one of my classmate's reply - then paste it into a notepad, then just reword it with my own flair (?) - then just post. Professor would never notice and my posts would look pretty good. Just think "I agree" and "why" - it's cake, man.

My advice is to not take online classes if you can avoid it.

Most college classes are difficult and you need public interaction with an instructor or classmates, otherwise you are in for a rough road.
Online courses bypass human interaction, but you learn less and if you are stuck on something and can't figure it out then you're fucked.

Good Luck with whatever you decide to do!

I've been taking online classes at University of Phoenix Online for over a year now. I have a 3.1 GPA. Some tips on your discussion questions:

Write as though you are the first response to the question. Don't read anyone else's post first.
When making a response to someone else's question, use your noodle to deduct logical facts and opinions that either support and/or disagree with the statement that classmate is attempting to put forth.
If you disagree with someone, state why, and go into detail explaining why.
If you agree with someone, try to find more facts to support that classmate's idea. Provide personal experiences you or a friend may have had to help push the topic along.

If you're having trouble writing even after using these ideas, try responding to the Professor's questions. Normally, the professor will ask a question, students will reply, and then the professor will ask another question regarding a certain situation. When I couldn't find the time to read everyone else's statements, I simply replied to the teacher's question or statements, and also agreed/disagreed with them on certain situations.

If you're having issues writing papers for assignments, and you just cannot find a way around it other than being more creative, when asked to pick a topic to write about, pick something that truly interests you personally, and write about it. Use your personal experiences/opinions/ideas/ideologies/theories to support your facts/opinions. Use outside sources to help push your topic in the direction you want to go. Communication with your audience is key. Try dumbing things down to the point where you're basically explaining every single process in complete vivid detail.

Pick a topic that's extremely difficult to write about. Research that topic, and learn both sides of a particular situation. Using controversial subjects such as legalizing abortion versus making abortion illegal.

One of my papers for a final project was done on Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Warfare, and another paper was done on Stem Cell Research on Human Embryo. These are highly controversial topics, and they work perfect since you can always attempt to prove your point, or even provide an argument both for, and against the same topic while staying behind the line of fire.

If you need any help at all, please feel free to get with me or send me a PM on the forums. I'd be glad to help you.
I'm currently taking IT Programming for my Associates, and Information System Security for my Bachelors. I'm over halfway to my Associates.

Hope this helps :)
