hey all, KA-BAR here.

i know alot of you have seen either a episode of survivorman or man vs. wild. everyone has thier opinions about who is better/cooler, bear grylls or les stroud. i will admit up until about a year and a half ago, i was a les stroud fan, and loved to bash on bear grylls. why not.

then about a year and a half ago, while doing some internet searching, i came across a gentleman by the name of Dave Canterbury, out of Ohio and his Wilderness Outfitters channel on youtube. Dave is a amazing guy, has alot of knowledge, and is passing it on. i am learning. from there i also came across a guy named Cody Lundin, another outdorsman of a diffrent type, who has struggled with finances and has lived off what he could carry on his back. i have been homless twice in my life and can identify with Codys outlooks on this lifestyle.

i have been taking a serious look at wilderness self reliance for the past 4 or 5 years. guys like Dave Canterbury and Cody Lundin are my true heros, and thier youtube channels reflect alot of good information.

to me there is a huge diffrence in wilderness self reliance, Bushcrafting, and survival situations. all three are very diffrent animals, yet have common bonds.

another great man is Ray mears. typing his name into youtube produces hours and hours of bushcraft knowledge from around the world.

anyways, id like to introduce you to this, because it is a subject that i enjoy, and use on a daily/weekly basis.

i have a gathering called ghilleman 2010 comming up this summer and i am thinking about opening it up to some of the local bushcrafters in the PACNW.



if you consider yourself a outdoorsman/survivalist/prepper or whatever, i hope that i have been able to introduce you to something unknown and helpful. if you are already familliar with stuff like this , hey great, then lets discuss.
