If you don't have a good headset or one at all, this headset is worth the $20. Walmart headsets are barely $20, and this is actually a really good one. I have the v2's and it is the best headset that I've ever played with. The only difference is the earphones are slightly smaller and there isn't a mic.(Some of the v1's have a mic, some of them don't. This one says it doesn't, but there is a chance it might.) If it actually does come with one, its a clip-on that you can clip to your shirt or the headset cord and is completely separate so if you want to use it for music out somewhere it doesn't have a mic sticking out the side.

They have a 1 year warranty through SteelSeries and usually if you have to send it back, they will sometimes upgrade you to the v2's, give you a $15-20 mousepad, and something else just because you had to RMA it.

Damn! That's a good F*CKING deal! They don't come with a mic, but who cares at that price! I've noticed some of the people in the server really need em! Get some if you don't have headphones and you have the $20 to spare! Makes ya play better i guarantee it. Nothin better than being able to tell exactly where someones at without walling.

For those of you looking to get better and you have a bad pair of headphones - get these.

Though the lack of mic does kinda suck.

I wish I had these instead of the $200 triton ax pro that I bought and never used (because it hurts my head and ears too much).

I have $30 Plantronics I got from Bestbuy...they kick ass for the money and they're even better with my external sound blaster X-Fi 5.1 card.

Sucks I already bought my Fatality headset, lol.

The only thing I would ever buy with that branding is a sound card and even then it would have to be on sale 50% off if mine ever broke. Notorious for overpriced merchandise that is mediocre in comparison to other true "gaming" gear. Can't really hate on him though, I'd probably sign the contract to have my signature on the box and receive a percentage of that overpriced junk.
