So my friend had a PS3 the gave him the "RFLOD" or Red Flashing Lights of Death. It was one of the 60gig original run PS3's that are backwards compatible unlike the newer versions. Anyway, he had a game stuck in the console and being that it was out of warranty, he didn't care how I got it out and told me that if I got it out I could mess with it and if I could fix it I could keep it because he had already bought a new one. So I did some research on the internet and found alot of people having the same issue and using a process called "reflowing" they fixed it. Basically, you take it completely apart and heat up the motherboard around the CPU and GPU which slightly melts the connections back into place from the defect. Took about 2 hours total and BAM! It worked! I got his game out and aquired a PS3. Total investment: $20 for heat gun and $5 for new Thermal Compound. Any game recommendations from you PS3 players out there?

stay away from Moto Storm. It is the suck, yet somehow is well selling.

If you want FPS and crave a CS-like feel, stay away from Killzone. It's relatively fun multiplayer, but the input lag & poor maps design almost make it a game breaker.

Those are my only recommendations-- anti-recommendations pretty much.

nah i love motorstorm, it's some unrealistic driving game, but still, the graphics are unbelievable with a HD tv,

and yeah, dont buy killzone (at least dont buy it as first game) cuz i also think that the solo campain is F*CKING boring, always the same shit, same weapons

the game that i like the most on my ps3 is metal gear solid 4 guns of the patriots, once again, if u could play it in HD, you'd love it,

and my other favorite game for ps3 is lil big planet... it looks really childish, but once you play it with friends or even alone, you'll play it for a LOT of hours, the multiplayer is amazing, the map editor is pretty cool too, so yeah

call of doody isnt THAT good, the fact is, it only has really good graphics, but the gameplay is same shit as any other call of dutys or any other simple fps... it is my opinion though, i dont like this game since they released mw2 cuz they just made same thing as MW

BFBC 2 is fun online and the single player I thought was better than MW2. I have both I also have MAG which I like but I still think BFBC 2 is better. Its really fun once you get good at flying the helo's you can rape people I mostly play recon. I like to snipe across the maps. Madden is always a good choice if your into sports games.

oh shit yeah forgot about madden... god damn i couldnt stop playing this game once i bought it :O and yeah bfbc2 is great, but since its a really intense fps, like MW, i kinda suck on consoles... fps are better on PC according to me thats why i didnt list any of em

can't agrue with God of War 3. it's fantastically brutal and fun as hell. Dante's inferno is really great as well.

Yah dont get MAG it was alright but theres no point to it after awhile :/ If you like rpg's and you want a tough and fun time yelling at your screen then get Demon Soul if you dont wanna yell and throw things dont get it ^.^ then theres also Dragon Age which is good and ofcourse Final Fantasy XIII ^.^

This. PS3 online is shit compared to the cohesiveness of xbox live.
