 New Laptop Advice!
Hey guys,
I have a bursary from the government to buy myself a laptop. I was wondering what you n00bs thought about it in terms of what the best laptop is. Here is what I'm looking for:
- Portability: Going from my condo to Uni (2 metro stops, 10 min), in and out of classes, friend's house..whatever. - Price: I have about $3000 (2000$ bursary). If I don't have to spend my own money, that's obviously better. - Speed/Memory: I want to be able to transfer part of my 80GB itunes library, do some photo and video editing and the other basics. - OS: Mac or Pc, I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks niggs!

AngryKitten wrote: The Canadia government just gives you money to buy a computer? internet: Wiki says wrote: In modern English usage, the term has become synonymous with "bursary award", a monetary award made by an institution to an individual or a group to assist the development of their education. The Canadian government isn't the only government that gives awards. It is a common case I think in many of the more "socialized" nations (Pretty much every country in the EU, Canada Austrailia) where in the Government has a more of a hand in the Higher Education system. Though I know for example in Germany, getting into a University per say isn't a walk in the park, you have to be pretty F*CKING bright to past the tests and humps it takes to get in, if you ain't university material they send you on the path to tech school to learn a trade instead of wasting time and money to put you in a situation where you'd probably just say F*CK it. As for the laptop you can get more bang for your buck at ASUS if you're looking for power, stay away from Dell and Alienware, you ain't going to get as much as you could at ASUS for 2K.
