checking my email this morning i see on msns website that the Norwegian nobel peace prize committee awarded president obama the nobel peace prize.
it was awarded because the committee wants to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism. whether he deserves the award or not is still up for debate, but regardless he was won the award.
Desmond Tutu, Archbishop of South Africa said "It is an award that speaks to the promise of President Obama's message of hope," Not only has Obama worked towards change (although it is too early to see if his actions will come to fruition), since he has become president the world view of the U.S. has received a double digit boost. whether you agree with Obama or not, this is clearly a message that he has the ability to make some positive changes in this country.

Also as well world wide he is pretty much god status, read reports of what the Italian Prime Minister thinks of him, love him...and his "tanned" skin.

His foreign policy is pretty much what got him the rewards as its done by a international community than a national one and Obama's so far weak national policy doesn't have as much as an effect on them as his "strong" foreign policy.

For god sakes compare his foreign policy to that of Bush's or even Clinton in that matter, its a hell of a lot more better. i agree with both sides here, what's the point of giving him such a noble award if he can't even fix the problems in his own country.
but on the same token we need to fix how the world views our country first so that when we start leaning away from aggressive foreign policy, we don't
get blindsided by all the people who hate our ass.

BAwawahaahahahaaaa.... Man, I thought it was a joke at first. Then the fool accepts it. He could have had some decency and said that he couldn't accept it because he hasn't done a damn thing. The peace prize didn't have a whole lot of credit due to some of the recent winners but this one was the final nail in it's coffin. AND we bombed the moon today.
