 Linux Preference
Well, after spending a days (Transferring 120GB to external and back too about two 1/2 hours each way), Had some issues with nvidia driver me being a dumb ass and forgetting a line in my xorg config, I'm back. Slackware 13 is running smooth and enjoying it. CSS is downloading, so i'll test it shortly, but WoW runs fine at least. Never had issues with steam running, only issues installing. For you linux users I've got a question what is your Linux Distro and Graphical Environment of choice? Slackware 13 / KDE 4.x for Gaming. My Desktop

 Re: Linux Preference
I haven't really had time to check out distros on my new laptop. I've been using Windows for gaming and Ubuntu for other stuff. I'm thinking of using Gentoo once I get back to the USA and have the time and resources to compile my own kernel. My old system had an ATI card so that basically ruled out linux gaming.

 Re: Linux Preference
I like Ubuntu, but don't take that as an endorsement because I haven't used it for anything more than web and playing around. So from a real tech standpoint, I don't know how it matches up.

Falcon, you've been sucked into the m$ void.
I use Ubuntu from time to time, but I'd like to try something new... anyone care to help me out with a new distro?

 Re: Linux Preference
If Wine worked worth a shit, I'd use ubuntu. With an 8800GT, a 2.6ghz dual core proc and 3GB of RAM, I get about 12fps in CSS.

 Re: Linux Preference
@Gman - Your kidding right? 40 - 80FPS using Wine for me on a 8400GS at 1440x900 on mid-high settings Using KDE/Slack13. Hell, WoW / CSS / KOTOR2 all run fine for me on wine, so.... what'd you do to your system lol?
@Fomenta - Hey, I started with Fedora 3, and I loved it, then tried to use it for hosting around FC5 :D. I'd still use fedora, but i've become to used to Slackware, It'd probably be a bad idea to switch.
@Skull - Try Slackware or Fedora. both are fine. Slackware is harder to setup(or so people say, I find it easy), and Fedora can't run servers to well (Well, Webservers are okay, anything else, forget about it :P)

 Re: Linux Preference
Not exactly linux but I'm running Solaris on a virtual machine, mostly for college projects and learn unix. I think I'll try Ubuntu for some multimedia testing.
