We already have a carrier outside of korea . I dont think they will attack If they do we will be dropping bombs all over there country within 30min.

Kim Jong Il is a crazy motherfucker but all he is doing right now is posturing for more financial and food aid from the US and United Nations. His people are starving and they don't have a major source of income and what they do make they spend it on the military, I say let them posture and then wait them out and once they have starved to death then move in and free the people or what's left of the people.

#1 There are way too many guns and rifles in circulation in the USA to ever ban them completely.

#2 The NRA has a stranglehold on Congress as far as gun rights are concerned. Democrats who would favor stricter gun control laws know that it would be political suicide to even try to mention it. The NRA is pretty much the only lobbyists that I'm glad are so powerful.

#3 The problem isn't the guns, it's the ignorance of those who use them and the lack of stricter penalties for the use of guns in illegal acts. If everyone who used a gun in an illegal act (theft, gang violence, domestic dispute) would be put to death immediately (preferably televised, PPV would be great revenue for states and the fed) then a lot of our problems would be solved IMPO. Yes it would create some more problems but in the end it's a better solution IMO.

#4 Selective Service isn't that bad. Personally I think it would help this country out in many ways if service was mandatory.

I don't agree with it. The whole reason our military is as successful as it is. Is because its all volunteer so its people who want to be here not people who are forced you get better people this way than forcing everyone to do this because this life style really isn't for everyone.

Having manditory service would help because it would get Americans off their lazy asses (myself included) and teach them that they need to work for what they have. I mean Americans today have so much to be thankful for and its all things that older generations worked hard and died to achieve. I asked around in my high school one day and most seniors, or anyone really, didn't even know when the Declaration of Independence was written. If thats not a lack of appreciation nothing is, I mean come on...

I was required to sign up last Summer when I was working for a contractor.. here's me not hoping for a draft.
