As you are probably aware of by now, there have been some additions in addons to our server to enhance our fun, and administration capabilities. Some of the features added were:

bmute - A mute addon that allows voted mutes, timed mutes with admin priveledges, and gives reasons to the players for being muted. If you are an admin, please check this link for instructions on using the features this addon has.

If you've been added to the admin list to use bmute, you can access the mute menu by typing !mutemenu

NOT ALL ADMINS HAVE BEEN ADDED YET, SO PLEASE USE THE MA_MUTE FEATURE UNTIL I'VE ANNOUNCED THE UPDATE THAT ALL ADMINS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THIS FEATURE.

Connect_Status - This addon shows the IP address and the STEAM ID of people connecting to the server. This is useful in tracking down STEAM ID's or IP addresses before we lose them. There are no functions to this addon.

Nameban - This addon is running but is set inactive. This addon will automatically check for certain names or certain characters in names and match them up to a file. If there's a match it will either auto kick, temp ban, or perm ban the user. For instance, Player "Cunt" comes in, and the player name cunt happens to be under the filter list to be kicked, then player "Cunt" will be kicked. If player "unconnected" comes in, he will soon find out that "unconnected" is on the permanent ban filter. This is automated and has no extra functions.

Unnamedabuser - This addon checks for any players with the name "unnamed". If it finds a player with "unnamed" as a name, it will freeze them in spawn, and give them instructions on how to change their name. Once the player changes their name, they will be unfrozen, and thanked for changing their name. This addon is fully automated, and has no extra functions.

ventad - This is an addon that advertises our ventrilo server every x amount of seconds. This addon is fully automated and has no extra functions.

whois - This is an addon used for instances when that asshole spams the server, then leaves before you can get his STEAM ID by typing status in console. Simply type

Instructions: Type !whois (player name) to search for the player's Steam info. You can also use a partial name. For instance, if I was micspamming and Gman needed to look me up, but didn't remember all of my name... he could type !whois acid, and get a result. This should help with the banning of lamefags.

A lot of these new admin commands are ones we've needed for a long time...good job on tracking them down and getting them added!

Found out something interesting about bmute

if you use
!mute NAME TIME MESSAGE
it's a mute time in seconds.

If you use !mutemenu
the mute time is in minutes.

Also don't try using !mute without all the arguments. I tried that and !unmute didn't work on the person. I had to mute them again via !mutemenu to make them unmuteable
