Since all n00bfest tourneys and leagues have failed before us, I have decided to completely shuffle the format in which everything is going to happen.

We are going to have a draft, and in this draft you will pick from a pool of players that are willing to play and at least have some sort of practice to go over strats, setups, or even just names of spots you want to make, because after all, the team that probably practices the most, WILL do very well in the league and win. In the draft, we are going to have 6 rounds of picks, which in theory will be your starting 5 and an extra, if support lets us use a 5v5 standard format to begin, if less people are interested at the beginning we can break it down to 3v3s or 4v4s and the numbers will be changed. After the draft, the leftover players will be free agents to go where ever they and a team would like. Due to people not being as skilled as others, we will have a 8 man roster minimum and a 13 man roster limit on teams(subject to change). That is almost 3x the amount of players needed for 1 match or scrim, so I expect you to show up for a match if you are scheduled.

The league format will be slightly modified CAL config that will include a far less starting money than in the past for source(It has not been decided if it will be 800 or slightly more for deagle armor or nades, or smg no armor), and a longer round time to play off of picks in the opposition, slow rushes, and time for walking.

Depending on how many entries we have for the pool of players will depend on how many teams we are going to have. I will not start this league with less than 4 teams(which will need a minimum of about 40 players, which in n00bfest is an hours worth of n00bs in the server if that), and I would love to start with 8 teams. If I see enough attention brought into the league midseason, "expansion" teams can be made and players added to this new roster and players traded to this new team.

There will be trades, and a trade deadline just like in other sports due to the fact that people might not like their team, people fighting with each other, or people being T.O.'s aka team obliviator's. Every trade will need to be approved by the league to prevent stacking, and abuse of the system and will most likely only need a simple explanation from both teams for a trade.

This league will be formed in the shadow of other professional leagues with certain standards players are meant to follow, although much more lenient, a certain amount of sportsmanship will be there. That is not to say you can't shit talk, just not to the point of where it will be a distraction to your team or made out of spite for the other. Calling someone a AFRICAN AMERICAN, jew, spic, etc. will be tolerated and acceptable as long as it is reasonable, and not overused.

As with any league, there will be cheaters. There will not be an anti-cheat client. But there will be admins for the league, so demos will be required to record for disputes if there are any. There has been n00bs cheating in the past, and I'm sure more will be in the future, so the demo recording is only going to be a precaution used, and the admins selected are going to be more than capable of catching cheaters.

Rules are not in stone yet and we would like feedback and suggestions to what you want to see happen, or done, for you and your friends to play in the league and be successful for season to come! This is not the thread for signups, but a thread for the suggestions and feedback for the league and to gauge how much interest in the league the community has.

That would be a great idea if we had a stv to use for the matches, so everyone doesn't have to lag their computer with recording(on lower end computers) and just for this league a stv demo would be enough for a dispute if it did happen.

Who is going to host these servers?? HLTV isn't too hard to set up.

It's open to everyone to join, but I'd like it everyone to at least have at minimum the smallest commitment to the n00bfest server so when we do have the draft, the team leaders will have stats or knowledge of the player to draft by.

Is PSA going to be joining in?

Sounds like a good plan to me. I believe it might just get some of the older slightly inactive folks like me to come back out of the woodworking. I have some ideas that I could add to it but will come up with a proper list after this has gotten its due support.

I'm game.
