This is an awesome sci-fi FPS based on capture the flag. What makes it sci fi is the futuristic guns, and jet packs.

Players have a vast amount of jobs available. If you like FAST paced games, engage in extremely fast paced combat as a flag capturer (capper). If you're more chill but still want to rape, put on some juggernaut armor and defend the base blasting with self deployed turrets and your own mortar gun.

Tribes 2 was alright. Tribes 1 was were it's at.

Yeah haha it came out in 2001 and i have played it ever since. Of course i had to take breaks, but i always end up going back to it.

Tribes 1 was probably the best game when it came out. There are still quite a bit of people playing it still and you can download it for free legally.

Uh as of now i'm not aware of any availability to play tribes 1 online. Yeah sure you can get it for free, as well as this tribes 2, but the thing is that Dynamix no longer supports the authentication and master servers for online play on T1 OR T2 so you're not going to play on any server.

However, TribesNext now supports the servers for T2, so online play is available.

T2 is just like the CS: Source of CS 1.6 - basically the same but with better graphics. So let's go vets, since you're familiar, join up :P

F*CK, Starsiege (T1's daddy.) still has servers up. Just because dynamix doesn't host the master server doesn't mean it's dead.

Starsiege is a "mech" style game. You have big ass robots and you walk around shooting people in them.

Starsiege: Tribes is a game that is commonly referred to as "Tribes 1." It was made by the same people as Starsiege, and it's set in the same "universe" as Starsiege. It's just an FPS based in the same futuristic scenario.

I was in the Orion Faction from 1998 or 1999 until about 2002, then I started playing Diablo 2 and Counter-Strike online.

We played Renegades (not that lame ass Ultra Renegades or Shifter crap).
