i was wondaring if my comp can handle Left 4 dead. it can run TF2 at med to high settings.

so my prossore is too slow well that sucks, every thing else is ok.

If you play tf2 on med-high, you'll be fine as long as your res isn't high. The only gimp on the game I've ever seen on fps is the final stage of Blood Harvest in the fields.

would adding another gig of ram do anything for my fps or it wouldnt even matter with my processore? also i run tf2 with every thing high at 1028 by 764 and 2xAA.

cl_showfps 1 on tf2 and play in a full pub, if you get at least ok fps(in the range of 20-? 20 being in the 3 ubers with rockets flying everywhere on a final point of something) then you'll be fine with the same settings on l4d.

k thanks , I was wondaring about the GHz becuse AMD tends to handle games better than Intel and the specs recamend 3.0 for an Intel processore. also does any one know wut brand of ram cards are compatable with AMD Athlon xp and are cheap ($30-$50)

If you have vista and any memory flash sticks, you can use ready boost to increase your RAM.

Infernum, if you've got the Venice processor, which I think you do (if it's the socket 939 3500+ athalon x64 proc), it'll run that game fine. That processor F*CKING rules.

It'll outperform Intel's 3.4ghz single-core processors with similar cache with no problem at all.

Your problem may be in your amount of memory; I suggest having atleast 2 gigs; I have 3 in mine.

I run 4GB of that with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ and a PNY Geforce 9400GT. It's nothing too special but I can play every game I own on high settings.

yea, i dont know too much about ram cards so wut ones are compatable with my comp, i currently have 2 512mb, also is there a sertin order bthey should go in the slots like the 1g before the 512's?

What you need to know is your FSB of your motherboard and the speed of your other 2 ram sticks. Ram can only go as fast as the slowest set, and they go in pairs. It doesn't matter which paired slots you use but if you have a 1g in one slot if you want to expand that paired slot you need a 1g in the other slot. So with 2 512 sticks if you have another pair you can add 1 more 1g or 2 1g, and maybe 2g if your motherboard can handle over 4 but i would doubt that. L4D doesn't really need more than 2g.
