The question i have is why buy a monitor with all that stuff built in when your not going to use it. I rather just have a plain simple monitor.

Or a 22" Acer value line, 5ms response, No visible ghosting @ 1680x1050 (75hz refresh rate), aand for under $200. It's what I use. Yeah.

HDMI is pretty useless unless you're connecting to a home theatre system imo. Not trying to say that monitor doesn't suck, theres just better value out there (In my own opinion).

I bought it because Asus puts out top quality products and I knew I wouldn't have any problems with it.




first off 5ms is ewwy and I prefer native 1900x1200.

Personally I use the HDMI to watch shows online off of sites like hulu and movies I dont feel like burning to dvds

the 5ms is fine but with the poromo code the ASUS is cheaper and comes with better reviews!!

Now that I have a 24" I can't imagine having anything smaller. If you work with a lot of apps at once it's great!

i think he was merely pointing out a good deal. i bought a 24" dell monitor about 2 years ago and i paid $700 for it. so his initial point still stands: $279 is a great deal, even if you don't use the gay webcam and speakers.

Yea, I get emails from newegg with special promo codes I just thought I'd pass this one along because I know first hand that this monitor is awesome and since it's so close to xmas I thought someone might be interested.

I paid a lot more for it and that was only a couple months ago. I'm not mad though because my old monitor finally kicked the bucket and I needed it because the only thing I can do without a monitor is pwn n00bs in our server.

ya my gf just bought me the 22' acer one from newegg for only 150 and free shipping during cyber monday for christmas. It is freaking sweet, no problems whatsoever with it so far, and it got really good reviews, its not like the prettiest thing like glossy black or anything but still very nice.

I'm not looking at the glossyness of my monitor when I have 4 windows of pron open all at once.
