That's pretty vague... any restrictions?

No restrictions, it has to be 8 pages, I just want to find a quality topic and figured some suggestions might spark an interest or something.

an easy choice would be to look up one of the always big topics in political debates and choose a side: death penalty, concealed weapons, abortion, ect...
history of a company of sorts, research new technology: military, personal, industrial, ect...
once again, this leaves the door open for everything, I would just choose something that interests you, so that you will have half of the paper done before you do any research whatsoever(less citation in the paper)

I came across something that interested me, Drug addiction as a disease. How do you think that will do?

It was probably one of the worst $209 investments I've ever made. I find it is extremely hard to play video games with a giant dick in your ass.

i would go with addiction in general just becase it allows you to look at more research and possibly show a correlation between the studies of different types of addiction.
IMO, addictive personality is genetic. Take it from a redman, I know about addiction.

Do a technological advancement and relate it to a societal issue.
For instance, in parts of Canada, they're essentially getting rid of credit cards and instead making chips you can put in your phone. Point, click, paid for, get out.
There are a lot of positives and negatives about it.

8 pages is not enough for a good research on a topic as wide as addiction in general. Instead, stick to one type of addiction and do a good job about it.
I like Apok's topic, though it's not a big technological improvement (Japan has it for more than a year...), but cultural yes.
