dude, when i lost my job in april, i moved all my 401k money into a stable money fund. right now i look like one of the smartest men alive because i'm one of the few people who hasn't lost any money in the last 6 months. if anyone has a 401k, i would suggest moving all your money into bonds, at least until the market stabilizes. they keep telling everyone to "stay the course" with their stocks, but really, who can look at a 30% loss on their retirement and not want to run with what money is left? they're telling everyone to keep their money in the market to try and prevent further losses. but i wouldn't listen if it were my money.
we're in some deep shit here, and i wouldn't trust anything the gov't is doing right now. we're 1 step away from not being the same USA that we've all grown up knowing.

My dad is retired and 74 y/o. Last time I was home he was just walking around pissed off like a motherfucker about all of this.
I've been telling my friends now is the time to invest this is the low point and now the big investors are about to start buying and the market will start climbing again.
Bonds are good if your still scared. Personally I'd invest more into convertible bonds right now.
BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY!!!!!

Everyone said this a month ago. The smart money is getting out of the market. The US is the world's consumers, and nobody is buying. We haven't hit the low point yet. We're nowhere close.

I didn't say this last month, I'm saying it now. IMO by next Friday the stock market will be above 10k again.

Get some precious metals and gtfo.
Commodities are overpriced right now because of the market. When things return to normal the price of commodities, like gold, will return to normal and more than likely you'll take a loss.

So, the Dow is going to have 400+ point rises 5 days in a row?
Edit the dow dropped 100 points in the time it took me to type that sentence. It's going to close below 8000 today.

It's just my opinion.. 10K might not be very realistic on most probability scales but it will begin to rise very soon.

I poured liquid soap all over my socks and put my throw pillows in the kitchen cabinet.
