There are a buttload of mods and shit so I need some feedback on how it should be configured.

I ran the demo and it seemed to play ok despite the fact that I have a GMA X3100...it wasn't perfect, but enough that I managed to have fun with it :) . Though I do hope the actual game plays a tad better. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_08

Yup yup, were giving it a test run see if people like it, ive commited to having the server run for 2 full months, if enough people play on the server I'll make it a perma server

COD4 has me way hooked, I tried to play CSS after playing COD 4 for a while... and I felt like a r-tard, pressing shift to run... right click to aim... dee dee deeee :P

COD 4 is a bit more fast paced, the only disadvantage of COD4 is the voice communication... it kinda sucks... but we do have vent :D

u havent seen fast paced until u play unreal tournament 2004...yes, 2004, not UT3

but gj on the server, u make me wanna buy COD4. but again..my computer sucks too much to run it, it can barely run source lol

I cant play Call of Duty 4 online Punkbuster wont let me. I would play but i dont know how to disable Punkbuster.

Ya the punkbuster is fucked up on COD4 everyone complains abou tit on som servers it randomly kicks you and metalgod its not hard to disable punk buster you just have to go on a server that doenst use PB theres lots of them

I would like punkbuster to be run on the server as it helps reduce hackers.

a) dont hack :P

b) if ur using a connection manager such as game rail, kill it. I had game rail and it was F*CKING up my connection to cod4

c) dont have weird characters on ur name, punkbuster is sensitive that way

d) dont try to reconnect right away if it kicks u, it has an auto kick with incraments of 2mins if u try to reconnect right away after it kicks you


and yes ut2004 is fast paced :P especially with the adrenalin boost :P


the game settings i like to play on are team death match no kill cam ( but probably should put that option on for the server if its not already on) and up to 3000 points and certain vote functions disabled

I havent seen any admin mod on any server that i have played yet unfortunately

there seems to be problems with people updateing to patch 1.5

i cant connect to the server with out the patch how ever the patch wont install. i sent an email to tech support to get assistance, ill post what they tell me here incase anyone is having the same problems.

the fact that paching the game is kinda hard and its not required to play on servers taht arent patched to 1.5 might make the server traffic low... something to look into i guess

Download the 1.5 patch here. This is the only one I could get to work.

on a random note, does anyone have a fix for the direct X error in the single player portion? I've tried everything to fix it (uninstalled xfire, updated directX, etc.), but I can't get it to work. Multiplayer works fine though...dunno why.

Stats page. I claimed ownership of the server and reset the stats on that system so we can start tracking player activity and ranks.

I've seen admins on there, they can kick/ban mute and all the good stuff. I just don't know where/how to get it.

Most people use rcon commands to admin their servers.

To get things started, we should probably send out announcements for a set time to play COD4 and work in on Friday/Saturday nights to get a crowd together.
