Maternity Allowance If you are expecting a baby and have recently left work, changed jobs or you are self-employed: check Maternity Allowance Incapacity Benefit If you are expecting a baby and have not worked for some time and cannot get Statutory Maternity Pay or Maternity Allowance but have paid or been treated as having paid National Insurance contributions: check Incapacity Benefit Sure Start Maternity Grants If you need help with the cost of buying things for your new baby and you or your partner get a low income benefit or tax credit: check Sure Start Maternity Grants Statutory Maternity Pay If you are expecting a baby and work for an employer: check Statutory Maternity Pay Paid by your employer.
