 A bit of MMA news
Randy Couture has come out of retirement. He will be fighting Tim Silvia for the heavyweight belt at UFC 68 in Ohio on March 3rd. This UFC card was looking to be so bad that I wasn't going to buy it. I've bought every PPV for YEARS. But to see Randy come back and kick the shit out of the most boring fighter in the UFC, it'll be worth $40.

LMAO! You can't be serious Jar? This is just as gay as Gracie coming back, and taking on the top guy in the division at the time. Or going to be just as "exciting" as Shamrock's last fight. These guys are in retirement for a reason, and need to stay there. Did they not learn from the GREATEST MAN TO EVER TOUCH A BASKEBALL? He's now known more for his dumb choice, than his game wining shots. He should have stayed a legend, but now Randy will be known as the natural dumbass. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_04 And for you, saying he's going to beat Tim!!!!!!!!!! Normally, I'm against guys coming out of retirement to fight again. BUT, Randy has still been doing submission grappling. He went to a draw with the #1 guy in the world (Jacare). Randy was still whooping up on guys in LHW, he just couldn't beat Chuck, and honestly, who can?
Also, I hate Silvia, and am looking forward to anyone kicking his ass. It was either Randy or Gonzagaz and they needed a main event draw.

The fact that Randy is fighting Tim Silvia is so F*CKING retarded. Why the F*CK does that old bastard deserve to come out of retirement and fight someone in a different weight class, wow can we atleast see Cro Cop Vs Silvia or Arlovski vs Silvia
Cro Cop Vs Silvia would be 10 times better than watching Randy trying to take Silvia down and end up getting his face bashed in.
If silvia beats Randys ass i'm gonna go insane.

Randy was the Heavyweight champ, so it's not really out of his weight class.

I'd rather see Arlovski fight.
I dunno though I had high hopes for Shamrock because he was still doing some training and snapped limbs like it was job (oh wait.... it WAS his job...) Although I do think Silvia will win, Randy will get some good shots in.

Shamrock is a dork. That fight was nothing more than an attention getter for the UFC. It was shown for free the day before a pay per view. He showed up at the weigh in carrying a Mcdonalds bag and soda. LOL! He was a pioneer in the sport, but out with the old, and in with the new.

There's a strong rumor going around that the UFC just put in a serious offer to buy PRIDE. Unified belts for the first time in MMA. Although it's just a rumor, with the UFC already buying out 2 other organizations this year, and PRIDE's CEO saying in an interview last month that they can't afford to pay their fighters what the UFC pays, it's hopeful.

Shamrock retired from UFC after the beat down Tito put on him, then we (me and my wife) saw him on cable fighting some asian dude on Pride fighting afterwards. We were at Red Lobster at the time, and I almost laughed up a hush puppy when the asian dude whipped his ass.
Learn when to throw in the towl and call it a day Ken. He could have gone out in his prime and been remembered as a great fighter. Now I will remember him as a sad old man that didn't know when to quit.
Randy should take a lesson from that. Yeah, I would have loved to see a fight between Silvia and Couture... a long time ago.
