 Dosent look like I can play anymore So there I was after a long week of not playing anything, I decided to play some CZ. lo and behold the thing that has been years in the making:
My friends, it looks as though my long journey with the thing called "steam" is at an end. For those of you who can help me fix this without: Reinstalling steam, or Re Format, please step forward.
Until I can get this fixed I dont know what I am going to do.
EDIT: And for those of you who say "ZOMG ITZ TEH WONG FORUM!!! POST IN TEC SAPPORT NEWB!!!!1111!!11!" I am posting here so that it get's looked at allot of things get over looked in the tech support forum.

I get that message quite often...i just keep restarting my comp until it doesn't pop up and steam loads...so far the most i've had to restart was three times...and it's always gone away before.

I found a temp fix, and I dont even know if that will work, so be back in a second to edit if it does........

EDIT: Looks like the temp fix WILL work, does any one have any ideas for a perm solution?
TEMP FIX: Programfiles/valve/steam Find the file named Clientregistry.blob and delete it, this usally fixes any steam problem you might have, but you have to wait through the update. I didnt try this before I posted because in all my years playing I have NEVER seen this error, so I didnt think this would work. It has, and now I feel like a momo.
For the time being it works, if you have a clear solution to fix this please post it. Anything besides running a C++ app?

One question, why cant you re-install?
Go to add/remove programs and see if you can repair steam/cz.

Um, steam is written in C++
It got confused over some corruption in one of its files, apparently the blob file you deleted so you should be ok now.

That actually happened to me once. I was installing Counter Strike: Source (which I later realized that it wouldn't work on my computer because it's not powerful enough) and that popped up in the middle of installation. I had to uninstall steam, then reinstall it.

I cant re-install because my HD is so messed up it will crash when I try to dl it. The only thing left to do is reformat, and that's a LONGGGG way out, Im still trying to back everything up.
