Post I'm going to quit my job
this is the letter I'm going to turn in....tell me what you think of it

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Manager:

Please accept this as official notice of resignation from XXXXXXX. My last day of work will be May 4, 2006. I thank you for the initial opportunity to work for your company, but I was not prepared for the following incidents and enlightenments:

1. That you were God and your life is more important than anyone else's in the store. And heaven forbid if you had to come in when you don't want to, but you think nothing of calling me in at any and all hours and with no notice.

2. That I had to push a ton of paper because the company won't spend the money to update your computing needs...or the update is worse than the paperwork.

3. That I would take care of all your ordering needs and cover for the numb fucks who can't count and order enough product to cover the week, and have to work my way through systems that are a total waste of time and energy. You complain about this too, but do you want to know about ways that are more efficient? Noooooo! God forbid we make anything efficient.

4. That speaking of numb fucks, I would have to listen to a woman bitch and moan about other employees, the state of the store, the vault, the ordering, the customers, her back, her feet and pretty much anything else that she could think of, and then do ABSOLUTELY nothing about it. Except bitch to you and get me and other people in trouble for not doing things that were her responsibility in the first place if she would get off her lazy, fat, bitchy ass.

5. That all of the workers rights outlined within federal law and O.S.H.A. regulations would be blatently ignored and that everything any workers organization has been working for since 1910 would be thrown out the window.

6. That the number of fire code violations within the store I work is more than the numbers of years the store has been open. Speaking of fire code violations, I have already informed the local fire marshals' office of your egregious lack of concern for your customers and employees safety. They should be here in about 15 minutes.

7. That I was to work at least 8.00 hours on the clock per day with no real break. I am chained to the register and/or vault for the full day. And lets not get started about me working doubles and volunteering to come in when you are short handed...and instead of thanks, I get treated like some sycophantic asshole for being helpful.

8. About the vault: WHAT THE F*CK?!! Do you HONESTLY think that I wouldn't notice that even though I organize it every day, it is a ginormous disaster when I arrive for my shift the next day? Or that people deliberately leave all the cases on the floor on truck night cause they are too freakin lazy to at least put them on the shelves? AND when they do get put on the shelves, they are put on the shelves in a way that makes no sense to anyone with even half a brain? And furthermore, actually catching an assistant manager deliberately putting things back on the floor and having to turn around and not say anything about it cause I knew that I wouldn't be believed is just about what I have come to expect by such a C*CK operation.

9. That at least once a week there would be a crying, ranting, stealing or quitting employee. .

10. When a sick day or two is taken, upon return to the store the third degree is given and you want to know every detail right down to the exact detail of my spasming back. (that would be the physical/mental stress caused from working in a place where all my basic human rights are taken away.)

11. That being injured at work, and promptly telling a manager, was not a case that was elligible for workmans compensation simply because you don't want to pay the insurance premium. (After I spoke with the fire marshel, I spoke with my lawyer. You should be hearing from her as well.)

11. That I was walking into George Orwell's 1984. No joke.
.
12. That working a 40-48-hour week with no breaks in the day would be so life-sucking.

13. That when you moved me to the vault you saw it as a move up, even though I regressed to no customer interaction at all, and was pulling cases and counting product all day. And when I came to you saying that if I was to do this job I needed a little cooperation from the rest of the staff, you took it as an insult, and spent the next three days pointing out every error I made.

14. Remember when you told me that you were going to train me to be an assistant manager, because at the beginning you told me how good I was? You never did follow through on that, but I still had to cover everything in the store that the other dicksmacks couldn't or wouldn't do, as well as supervise and train new employees (basically you gave me the job but not the title and raise) and THEN you put me in a cooler where I spend my days getting frostbite on my ass and doing heavy lifting 8 hours a day. And now my job performance is being criticized. I am smarter than this low level monkey job, and did you ever hear of the theory where the intelligent child doesn't perform well in school because of BOREDOM? I want to assure you I've heard your complaints. So, I now want you to kick back and relax...after all, I do everything...stroll over to the beverage center (where I just made sure it was all perfect) and pour yourself a nice, big cup of shut the F*CK up.

15. Where the BLOODY HELL is my raise? The one you promised to me TWO months ago?

16. Overall, you are the one of the most draining, maddening, irritating people I've ever had the misfortune to work for. I do, however, congratulate you on being on of the most inefficient managers I've ever seen. It actually takes talent to be so inept.

I suggest that, since I am the fourth employee to resign this month, you may want to change your 'nobody is indispensable' attitude and maybe have a staff meeting to see what is going on in front of your eyes every day. You are lucky to have not lost more.

If, as you say, you have been running the company this way for years and nobody has said anything to you yet, either you are deaf, stupid, or you speak another dialect where "rude crack-brained bitch" is a compliment.

I hope that now, being severely understaffed (Losing me is like losing about 4 more people, by the way), the store will become hopelessly inept and that corporate will close you down and you will end up on the street without a job, whoring your bankrupt asses on OBT.

On a final note, I wish every success to the remaining employees (except one) and hope that their second and third job interviews get positive results because they have already had first ones. We really aren't going to the doctor or dentist as much as you think we are, moron. So, kiss my cute, white, not-working-for-this-fucked-up-company-anymore ass goodbye.

Love and kisses,

Arthur Brown

PS: Go F*CK yourself.

That's a fact.

You should send a copy to your boss' boss if you want real attention brought to it.

Sounds like you made this up after a bad day of work, just to get it out of you. If you turn it in, grats. And if those X's are correct for where you work, my guess would be Staples.

BTW, my favorite two of the ones I read would be #6 & #15.
